Yup. The Steelers' defense might be the only one this year so far that has made Sacksonville look like they have an actual NFL-caliber offense.

You assume it plays out the same way if it was kicked deep. Jacksonville probably plays it different knowing they're not in FG range.

sure, and that's definitely a risk, but given the way the defense had been playing, it wasn't really a headscratcher why Tomlin went the way he did. It didn't pan out for him, but it's not like it was some colossally stupid move.
