Just pulled the trigger on this game tonight, and played for two hours without noticing (long time for me). It's an exploration and survival game, pretty much underwater (thus the name). I can see why the Steam rating is overwhelmingly positive. Gives you a good sense of advancement and it's pretty intuitive on figuring stuff out for yourself. I suck, so I turned off food and water. Food was easy, but about the time I figured out what gave me water, those things disappeared and I couldn't find them any more.

Love this game. I played it extensively when it was in Beta. The ocean is so big in that game, and full of truly terrifying things. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Just thinking about playing again this morning. The caves freak me out. The game does a great job of making you tense, while not being too punishing about it. I'm sure I'm going to die a thousand deaths from getting lost in those caves.

I recommend playing in the dark with the sound turned up. I love the music, and the environmental sounds. The sound adds to the tension of deep ocean exploration.

I've managed to move on from my escape pod and build a fully functional separate base with lots of storage and a window to watch the fish swim by. Slowly getting the hang of where things are and what I need to do.

It's really a brilliant game if you like crafting and exploration, as for the most part, you aren't often in serious danger, though you are always in significant danger due to the underwater location and oxygen use. If you die, it's usually because you've pushed beyond your capabilities.

Been playing this over the past week. I'm a survival game junkie, and this hits that spot of fear-relaxation-progression-exploration just right.

Just ran into an EMP octopus, that thing scared the **** out of my in my little seamoth!

Free diving inside the wrecks get to me. Nothing like wandering through and losing your sense of up and down. Can’t remember which way you came in, and your oxygen is running low. Hits that panic button pretty hard.
