Hello from huskerland!! It is confirmed Zac is out had a MRI on his shoulder. Martinez is a gametime decision but all signs are pointing to Cody starting. Good luck!! See you at the game

Where was this confirmed? I can't find anything official in nature... how about a source?

This isn't the NFL. Coaches aren't required to post an injury report. Do you really think Bo Pelini is going to come out and say "Yep, Taylor Martinez and Zac Lee are both out. Just thought you all would like to know."

The rumors are legit.

Exactly. I've made that point a million times. Only the Niles Paul one was luck. The others were earned.

I say we beat 'em again and then wait for the new excuses. Except that they matter even less, since we own the end of the series.

You can even argue that the Niles Paul one was forced. As far as I recall, someone dove at the last second and got his toe. His stumbled and his knee knocked the ball out. Its weak, but its not like he straight up dropped the ball.

Its not funny, its just the way it is.

I heard from Lincoln that Bo has been suiting up TMart for the media, kicks the media out for practice and TMart sits.

Losing to their third stringer would just suck that much worse.

probably.

ask nebbie, they lost to our second string QB and RB... :twitcy:

they would know how much that sucked.

to the OP, I heard they were suiting up bopeep as qb and sitting Tmarker, lee and green.

I'm conflicted. Part of me wants Nebby at full strength so there can be no excuses. Another part knows losing Martinez and Lee improves our chances. Yet another part keeps flashing back to all those games where ISU has made a backup QB look like a Heisman candidate.

The last part thinks that just before the game the sky will open, a bright beam of light will shine upon the Nebraska locker room and Martinez's ankle will be healed in a divine miracle. Surely he has the clout with the Big Man upstairs to get his own ankle healthy.

No...we are just a little more intelligent and resourceful than most...This is from the depth chart on Huskers.com - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site website.

Quarterback (#3) Taylor Martinez, 6-1, 195, RFr., Corona, Calif.
- OR - (#17) Cody Green, 6-4, 225, So., Dayton, Texas 1 Letter
- OR - (#5) Zac Lee, 6-2, 215, Sr., San Francisco, Calif.

Maybe Ratface is trying to make stuff up as well.

The vegas odds haven't moved all afternoon that I can see. So either they already knew earlier in the week that Martinez wasn't starting and they are 18 point favorites without him, or this is just a rumor.
