These keep adding up. No matter what people say about it just being hearsay, S. Hicks and W. Nickel are going to be suspended for the first game against Toledo also.

Until an official release comes out about Hicks and Nickel, it's hearsay. I didn't hear anything about this, so clearly the news isn't at a free flow out of the athletic department.

Its for tokin' the ganja. My brother lived next door next to him last year and he said something about him getting in trouble for weed. I thought Hicks and Nickell were considered cleared? Anyways, its for pot, i guarantee it, and thats probably only a one game suspension, cause Cris Love only missed one game for drunk driving, and thats a hell of a lot worse than smoking pot.

Stevie is cleared to play against Toledo.......this has been stated numerous times but anytime anyone gets in trouble on the team people love to throw his name in

People need to quit posting garbage. Unless you have some backing don't start a stupid rumor. Stevie is playing...Cooper you lost all credibility

A current player told me yesterday. Unless he is not telling me the truth, I consider the source credible. But, until the athletic department says something, it isn't official so I'll not post about it any longer. I am not trying to start a rumor, I was trying to provide information I felt some folks may like to know. I'm not hatin' on anything, just stating something I found out. Sorry if anyone is offended about my post.

bg, I hope you are correct.

A serious question for you, what is appropriate to post regarding what a person has heard? I was not just trying to start a rumor.

This is stupid, but it seems like this would definitely be for weed, and I can't seeing that being more than a one-game suspension.

I don't think I can be a judge of what is appropriate or not..it's hard to know when talking to people what they actually know but I will say that someone from this board called Stevie after it was posted and cleared it up. and yes if he were suspended, he would have told this person...

I know Stevie pretty well and I know that He doesn't read this board but if he did he would probably wonder why people think they know what is going on with his life when they have never even met the guy. And running into him on Welch saying what's up Stevie is hardly becoming best friends with him.... I have posted in the past on Stevie's status and it will not change... He is Coach Mac's boy and the only thing that will keep him from playing is his groin...

You are correct Bobcooper. I have heard from a very reliable source here in Ames. A coach that lives right next to me that he would be gone for the first game for testing positive. The only thing I can say is that maybe they don' t want ot release it so that Toledo is planning on Hicks playing and not anyone else. That way they waste their film on breaking him down and not any of the other backs. Time will tell.
