I can't wait! One of the best times of the year. If you haven'e made a trip to your favorite team's site you are seriously missing out!

Oh, and FYI, my brother is throwing against the Marlins tomorrow... Keep your fingers crossed, he needs a good spring!

How much do the regular starters play in these games? I love watching baseball, but have never sat and watched a ST game. Are the games even a slight indicator of how a team will preform during the year?

The first couple of games they normally get one or two at bats. Towards the end they get three to four. The last week, they barely play at all...

I'm pumped for spring training. Such a great time of year. It's at this time of year that I'm so deprived and starved for baseball that I'll watch anything. As a heads up, this Friday the Dodgers and Braves are playing at noon on ESPN.

Also, for Twins fans (like me!) they'll be playing the Yankees the following wednesday, also at noon on espn.

Good luck you your brother, cybsball20!! I'll make sure to check and see how he does!!
I was wondering how much throwing he does during the off-season. I'm sure he is continually working out, but does he take several weeks off from actual throwing to rest the arm??

He genereally takes 4-6 weeks off from throwing and at least 2 weeks off of working out all together. He works out near Dallas with a few other Major Leaguers (Torri Hunter, LaTroy Hawkins, Jason Jennings, Chad Cordero) and some NFL guys (I know Nathan Vasher and some others). He doesn't do a whole lot of mound work, mainly just long tossing. The last couple weeks he will get into 'flat ground' and a little mound work.

Who is your brother? Is he with a major league club?

I'm heading down to Florida and plan on catching a couple of my Minnesota Twin's games down there too. I'm pretty excited.
