SO how long until the game I already am getting excited! I can't wait to see the team after a year or so under the same system.

has it even been announced officially yet? God knows I will be there...we should try and make the Spring Game like just another tailgate and game every year.

*April 12th or 19th would be my guess*

Seating will probably be limited to the lower east stands, with entrance only allowed through the northeast gate. Construction equipment will be all over the west side and the south gate area, as well as the center of the east side.

It'll be fun to see Arnaud or Bates run the show.

I can't see why the spring game would not exist, the west side is always closed for the spring game anyways.

I heard they were replacing the turf (with new grass) this year as well. They might do that after the spring game, but that may affect the status of the game as well.

I'd venture to guess it would be replaced after the spring game.

They wouldn't be able to get the new grass in too far ahead of the spring game and I doubt they'd want it played on just weeks after it was put down.

Good point on the new grass. You wouldnt think very much good sod would be available that early in the spring.

Didn't they just replace it with FieldTurf a couple of years ago? Like, in the middle of the season, after the old field got torn up during a messy game?

Or am I lost in some kind of time warp? :wideeyed:

No, Jack Trice is a natural grass turf.

I wouldnt mind seeing field turf, as long as it looks more realistic than Nebraska's turf or the turf JTS had before we went back to grass in the 90's.
