Had my first (and 6th) Spotted Cow last night. Been wanting to try for a while now.
Basically it was like going to a movie you've been waiting forever for and when you leave you're ******.

Nope. Wisconsin only.
They make a number of good lagers and pilsners. Their fruited beers are also quite good.
Just tried Oud Bruin, a flemish ale the other night. Excellent.
One of my favorites. I make 2-3 trips a year to Wisconsin to visit a customer, so get to enjoy some then. I had friends drive to WI this summer and totally forgot to ask them to bring me some back.
New Glarus is over rated in my opinion. Their beers are good, but somewhat boring and they don't tend to make anything that is in my wheel house (strong and malty). I don't mind a Moon Man on a warm day, but besides that I don't drink much of their stuff.

I love New Glarus beers and always load up on them when I'm in Wisconsin. I have a few cases in my basement now.
That said, the Spotted Cow is good, however very overrated. Fat Squirrel is their best beer. I also like their Honey Bock, Black Top, Wisconsin Bock, Two Women, Cabin Fever, Moon Man (my wife's favorite), and even that raspberry beer they have better.
Two Women and Snowshoe Ale are really good as well. So is their Blacktop IPA. They make a lot of really good beers. We actually had a keg of spotted cow and pony of two Women and bottles of moon man at our wedding last year.
Honey Bock, that's the other one I was trying to find. I like that one too. Husband likes Fat Squirrel.
Spotted Cow is a decent beer for what it is, but I can't remember the last time I bought a 6 pack to drink myself.
I'm a Moon Man fan first and foremost, but love most of their line up. In terms of bouncing from true to style, to successful experimentation and maintaining a high level of consistency, I think they're one of the best breweries in the nation. I've been on the Staghorn Oktoberfest pretty hard for the past month or so and don't get tired of it.
Spotted Cow is perhaps at it's best as a chaser for Del's Bloody Mary in downtown La Crosse. An absolutely perfect way to start a Saturday shopping excursion.

Second the Fat Squirrel recommendation. Spotted Cow has a novelty appear, but it's not a world smoosher.
