Well, I think the main point is not to do with "it happened in the holocaust." People targeting other people and killing them happens all the time, is the point. That's what serial killers do. Jeffrey Dahmer didn't target just anyone, for example. He targeted gay men from a certain race (well, I think it was a few races) only.

Murders happen SOMEWHERE everyday.

yeah i didnt mean for it to be focused on the holocaust it was just an example that there are crazy and messed up people out there that will do whatever they want. and i have no idea what happened to jon but i dont think u can rule this out just bc someone thinks its far fetched

The point is, there is no pattern... you are all making connections that don't exist.

This is the first page I found on death statistics; it's for 2002:
Death Statistics Tables

According to the site, for ages 15-24, there were 646 drowning deaths that year, or roughly 2 a day. I've seen people drunk enough they'd drown in a half-filled bath tub; saying ~10 college deaths over a MULTI-year period MUST be connected is ludicrous.

the pattern of drunk college guys drowning? There's a reason it's all (or mostly) males: statistically, women aren't as likely to do risky things... there isn't anything there out of the norm.

There are patterns and in your infinite wisdom, please tell us if no patterns existed, how was the detective able to predict that there would be a murder around April 1st in Green Bay. And then a guy goes missing April 4th in Green bay? And guess where the body was found.

No counterproof is necessary, because the evidence has pointed to accidental drownings, at least as far as the law is concerned. The SFK nuts are the ones that need to offer proof, because the vast, vast majority of these cases have not been ruled homicides. The only thing that the SFK folks can put forth is loose conjecture, rumors and coincidence. Make no mistake, theirs is the burden of proof, and the fact that so few of these cases have been ruled as homicides demonstrates exactly how flimsy the SFK theory is.

I am so glad to read the last few pages of this thread and see that more folks are calling out the ridiculousness of the SFK theory. Let's hear more of it!!!
How about the predicted murder/disappearance in Green Bay? No one has answered that. One of the investigators actually predicted a murder in Green bay around April 1st and it happened

But wait, where's the counterproof? Doesn't Lacrosse Police Captain Rob Abraham have to provide counterproof that the SFK weren't responsible? I thought that's the way things worked. Doesn't he know that a New York Dectective mortgaged his house? Doesn't that mean anything to him? :jimlad:

Great find, Kilgore.
What about the murder in Green Bay that was predicted?

I pulled into the parking ramp where I work today, and noticed that someone had painted a big smiley face on one of the support pillars over the weekend. I immediately thought of this thread. How sad is that?

Since you seem so passionate about this, do you have a link about this? Sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread.

I am not one that completely buys into the whole SMK theory but I find those that mock it and dismiss it have not looked at a lot of the evidence.

For example, many have claimed 8 in 9 years. Well that is only in Lacrosse. Quite honestly, Lacrosse is a river town and a college town so the accidental drownings there don't surprise me. Especially in a drinking town like Lacrosse. I would guess some were accidental and perhaps more than one wasn't. Just because one drowning has photos of footprints in snow to the alleged drowning spot, doesn't mean all were accidents. On another note the drownings in shallow water are the interesting ones. 2 feet, three feet of water etc. Or the drownings where evidence leads away from the location of the body.

Quite honestly, I think the truth lies somewhere in between. There are too many coincidences for it to be random and yet I don't think every male that drowns after leaving a bar is part of the theory. You could have one psycho at work on this or you could have copycat murderers. I don't buy into a group of serial killers but then there is some feraky stuff going on and I guess there could be a cult or something similar carrying this out.

I keep asking about the Green Bay prediction because those on here that laugh it off and compare it to Bigfoot have never answered the question. I find the prediction to be very telling. IMO- If someone can predict not only the place but the date then there is a viable pattern.

I've looked at that site before, and I'm sorry but it's not very good evidence of anything. I want to keep an open mind on this, but sites like that make it awfully hard to do that. The supposed map of the deaths showing a smiley face (complete with uvula), and all of the details that spell out different words like "ARM" and "COP" and "PIRE." It just screams nutty conspiracy theory.

Agree but the Green Bay prediction is very telling and IMO can't be dismissed or ignored. The guy predicted the date and place. You just can't pull that our of your ***. The odds of someone disappearing and drowning within 4 days is more than a coincidence.

I agree that a lot of the other patterns seem to reach. Like I said, I think the truth lies somewhere in between. I don't think one can just dismiss the theory like many on here are doing. The tinfoil hat, bigfoot, alien comments totally dismiss anything. i want those to answer how the Green Bay death could be predicted and I am stillw aiting for one of those wisecrackers to respond. I am guessing they never will

Not to be contrary but, there really wasn't documented proof of a prediction on the site that you listed, just the author making a statement. No link to a news story. No link to anything. Nothing verfiable.

I am guessing that there is some record if he contacted law enforcement agencies. The site doesn't provide links but the claim should be easy to refute. I tend to believe it but if you don't feel free to investigate:wink:

That site is the proof? Finding clues that spell out 3 and 4 letter words? This is the basis for the SFK theory?

To quote one of the greatest skeptics of our generation:

This is a smiley face?

What would be the point of a killing in Green Bay? Or a second one in Ames? It would totally screw up this flawless rendition of a smiley face. :jimlad:
Unless the SF Killers are a band of murderous Pablo Picasso enthusiasts... Wait, that's just crazy enough to be true!!!

Well, nobody has found Lacina yet. He could oddly still be alive somehow, somewhere although this is highly unlikely. In this thread, I was never talking about lacina...nobody knows what happened to him so we can't speculate. He could have had a freak accident and been burried in snow..who knows.

careful, man. That kind of logic is dangerous to theories like this. Next thing you know, you'll be saying that all of these deaths might have been accidental. It's a slippery slope, my friend. We just need to keep focused and find the pattern. ARM, PIRE, COP, what could be next?

Let's see. We've got deaths in

Scranton, PA
Ames, IA
Chicago, IL
Carbondale, IL
Iron Mountain, MI
Terra Haute, IN
New York City, NY

OMG, I think I might know where the next attack will be!

Sac City??? Come on... I'm going back home to Sac City this weekend. Why call your shot like that.

Plus, the Raccoon River runs through town, and my parents live 50 yards from it. Damn.... No drinking this weekend back home.
