I know he turned down Syracuse, but dont know much more about him other than he is Lou's son. East Carolina right? How much does he make a year?

The ESPN.com writer from Texas who is on M&M occasionally said that Skip's wife's parents live in Iowa. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it'd a big plus if they did!

Wasn't someone on here just recently who first threw out the Skip Holtz name, saying they had a connection to him in some way and he has ties to Iowa?

I think this is a longshot, but it seems to be as legitimate at the Patterson longshot. I don't think, under circumstances, that we have to hand over 2.1 mil. to land him. A coach like that...he wants to be in the big times. And...I am also saying that our situation isn't that bad, as we have a lot of talent, and we AREN'T a coaching graveyard.

I would support Holtz.

Lou Holtz will pick us to go undefeated while Mark May will roll his eyes and talk about how great Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes are going to be this year.

I love worthless ESPN analysts.

From his bio, it looks like he met her in Florida. Her last name was Fitzgerald. Hey! Maybe she's related to the State Treasurer! Or the Story County Sheriff!

Who wouldn't want to be closer to the in-laws? I wouldn't count this chicken yet! ;)

And we could get Rhoades (sp) for DC and we would be set. Think of all the free publicity every week. Our games might even be on TV every week.
