The Florida st. news that is coming out looks pretty bad

The FSU situation was a few athletes who felt like they weren't safe, and the overwhelming majority of the team saying the opposite.

I'm not an expert on this by any means, but isn't that why frequent testing is so important? Even if a player tests positive, it doesn't eliminate everyone in his direct circle (which would be the entire team, wouldn't it?) unless they also test positive.

Yep but you'd think in at least a few instances if one player tests positive multiple players will be positive as well (like a position group that might spend more time in close contact then the full team) unless they're able to test every single day multiple times to really stay ahead of it.

It will be interesting to see how it goes.

NFL has the advantage everywhere with being able to pull someone from the practice squad, someone floating around who was released, unsigned free agents, whatever.

Unless universities have a bunch of D-1 caliber and ready athletes walking around that aren't on the team it could get tricky if most of a position group is infected at the same time.

The NCAA should allow former D-1 athletes who never signed with an agent regain eligibility.

I have a co-worker whose child goes to a prestigious, expensive University and he's convinced they are only bringing them back so they can justify full tuition, with no real expectation they stay on campus very long. Basically getting kids on the hook for full tuition who may have taken a year away if they were online only.

50% of capacity or 50% of tickets sold? The later works out to about 35 people.

Reading this article, since you mentioned FSU:

I enjoyed the words " The delicate balance of player safety and pushing forward with football ," like those are equally important, or even equal cares for the department.
