You can't determine who was the better college QB by who had the better NFL career. Unless you're willing to admit that Ladell Betts was the better college RB than Troy Davis.

I get what you're saying but considering Seneca played at a high level with a terrible team, I could go on for a long time about this. So i'll save us both the time.

I would have liked to see Seneca play behind the line Troy Davis had.

I took the Cyclones and the points in that game and was looking at a very nice cover, until Hawkins decided to go for the end zone with :30 left and a two possession lead instead of taking a knee inside the 10.

Total doosh.
That ****** me off so much. Nothing gave me more joy than ISU beating up on Colorado when he was there and then seeing Hawkins fired for being a ****** coach. Screw that guy. /rant

Wallace's stats were 55% completions, 3245 yards, 15 TDs, 18 Ints, rating of 119.7.

Banks' stats were 58% completions, 2573 yards, 26 TDs, 5 Ints, rating of 157.1.

Seneca was good, but 15/18? Not even close.

Saying Wallace was better because he played on a worse team is like saying Roy Devyn Marble was better than Kane because he didn't get to play with Ejim and Niang.

To be fair, Seneca threw like 17 of those interceptions against OU.

I don't think it's quite the same. It's hard to put up good numbers when you're the only decent athlete on your team in football. Senecas best receiver was a walk on. His line couldn't block a powder Puff defense. He made everything that happened that year happen for ISU.
You can still put up good numbers on a bad basketball team. Your teammates don't have as much of an effect on things like how many points you score, field goal percentage, rebounds etc. I don't think it's ludicrous to think Marble is better than Kane, although it isn't really a fair comparison since they played different positions

Disappointed to see such a lack of support for a former player here. I suppose I'll be in the minority on this debate.

I got banned once.

Two years ago after iowa gave up the 11 point lead @ Wisconsin.

I've also been banned once, but it was only for a few days. I let my temper get the best of me after the Cubs bullpen blew another one either last year or the year before and posted a rather heavily profanity-laced rant.
