There are some prime time match-ups in the SEC vs Big XII this year. These games may never get played, but there is incentive to play the nonconference schedule. It must be getting close to decision time for these two conferences?

9/6 Ole Miss vs Baylor
- NRG Stadium, Houston (Sunday)

9/12 Texas vs LSU
- Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge

9/12 Tennessee vs Oklahoma
- Memorial Stadium, Norman

9/19 Vanderbilt vs Kansas State
- Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Manhattan

Go Cyclones! Its going to be a great year!

Ok, so is there some additional news here?
Sorry, I thought it was obvious. The SEC and the Big 12 are the last two P5 conferences to make a decision about playing nonconference games. Not everyone may have known there are this many teams scheduled to play each other this year. I had no idea until I checked it out. Texas and Oklahoma usually get what they want. The defending national champion may have some influence in their conference too. Maybe not.

Two home games in Ames before a return trip to Tuscaloosa

If Bama wants to play us, they can come to Ames.

If not, maybe we could make other arrangements. Maybe a kind-of-a-tournament-but-not-really in Des Moines?

Or in Arrowhead maybe? That always goes well for us.
