Most teams we play this year (except Colorado), are either past halftime or have already won their first game. What are your thoughts and predictions now that we better know what we are up against.

W..Iowa........Team with home field advantage has won since 04
W..@KentState..Will be a tough close game, but I think ISU will win
W..Army........This one scares me, non-stop running attack
?..KSU.........Toss up, would like to think we will win but it will be tough
L..@Kansas.....Closer than some expect, but not close enough
?..Baylor......I'm still not convinced, but I'm more concerned
L..@Nebraska...We might hang for awhile, but bad loss
L..@Texas A&M..I think they may make some noise this season
    L..OSU.........Bad loss
W..Colorado....They haven't played yet, but I still think we can win
L..@Missouri...May be close, but not enough

I think this team's success (as is the case of most) will be dependent on momentum. IF, and that's still a big if, we beat Iowa we'll have raised the level of team confidence and momentum going forward. You beat Iowa then I say you've got a greater than 50% chance of beating Kent State and Army. You go 4-0 through the non-conference schedule then I think you've got a better than 50% chance of winning more than two games in conference. Any deviation from that and we'll end up closer to last year's result.

I hope it's colder than a ***** when Oklahoma State comes to town, snowing, windy, and the field is in the same shape as Iowa's was when we played in Iowa City last season. Maybe, just maybe then we'd be able to see Dez Bryant run by our defense.

Very impressed with Missouri given everything they lost. They took apart Illinois. Kent State only beat Coastal Carolina 18-0. Can't learn much from that. I still think 5-7 or 6-6 is possible, but the Iowa game is a big tossup that could be the foundation to a surprising season.
