Miss ST 52 Michigan 14
I think he has to be unless Harbaugh won't come.
combine the scores against to the two Michigan teams... 101 points against this bowl season.... WOW!
Wow, the Big 11 sucked out loud today.
I dont see Rich Rod coaching again at Michigan.
Rich Rod is the #1 trending topic on twitter right now. He's gonna get canned.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up next year. I agree that he will get canned. Another program that hasn't canned its coach yet may do so to get RR.
When did he start?
let the richrod to isu oc threads begin!
He's still a hell of a coach. For one reason or another it just didn't work at Michigan. Someone will pick him up and he will succeed.
If fired I am willling to bet alot of money that he ends up as Okie States OC.
Not with a lot of positions left to go. I would think Maryland will be waiting for him and I would bet if Clemson fires their coach he would be at the front of the line because he has a history there. I don't see him being an OC anywhere. He will be getting paid so he doesn't have to work. Finding a job shouldn't be hard.
That would sort of surprise me Curt, unless he's got a close relationship with some people at OSU I'm not aware of.
Is Rich Rod now the leading candidate for the Pitt job?
RR will not be relegated to an OC position after this. He will be a head coach somewhere next season.
I'd love to see Rich Rod to Pitt. How freaking awesome would the Backyard Brawl be next year?
His hiring of Greg Robinson was a bad, bad move. I said this since his hiring. He was terrible with the Chiefs, he was terrible at Syracuse.
If Greg Robinson isn't replaced, then Rich Rod definitely will (and should) be.
I grew up a Michigan fan (but have since switched my allegiance to ISU) and it irritates me how Michigan's defense has gone from great to abysmal. The Michigan offense MUST score at least 75% of the time because the defense will undoubtedly allow the opposing team's offense to score on at least half of its possessions.
uhhhhhhh..... yeah. he is done.
Greg Robinson is gone for sure. I don't think there's any doubt about that.
I wouldn't expect an announcement on this before Harbaugh is done and from the things I have read, it's not certain he wants to go to Michigan. If he doesn't then I think RR is retained because I don't know who else would be a viable option right now.
In all honesty, though, they haven't had a great defense. They have had one in the top 10 since the won the NC in 97. This is all during a periods where the Big Ten was somewhat weak. Do you remember the BCS game against USC and the Capital One bowl against Tennessee? This years defense was the worst, no doubt, but they did have a ton of youth and injuries, something the ones in the past haven't had. While I have become almost indifferent on RR, it does somewhat irritate me that some have a perception of Michigans defense in the past that reflects this powerhouse. They were usually decent, but with the exception of 06, they were just good.
