Didn't he just take a new coaching job, somewhere in Texas? What about promoting Jake Waters?
Edit: he's at UTEP now

Will be tough to replace Ayeni. Played in the NFL, cool guy, good recruiter, staff continuity. Sigh....
Sure glad that ISU signed almost their whole class in the early signing period. It would suck to lose one of those guys that wanted to follow him in February.
Hadn't thought of this, and I totally agree. The flipside of this - coaches should have to be accountable for leaving a program AFTER the early signing period. If your going to make the kids accountable to their commitment, need the same from the coaches.
Edit - this isn't so much about Ayeni... moreso coaches in general - especially with the new early signing period.
He played running back through most of college but moved to safety his senior year.Is it unusual for a defensive back to become such a good running backs coach? Although I suppose that someone who can hit like Ayeni in the video in this thread has a thing or two to teach running backs.
Im just suggesting people no idea if they have interest or notHTF do people know who the available RB coaches are at this level?
I'm more nervous when its a coordinator position that leaves. Position coaches are easier to find than solid coordinators IMO.
