I heard the new end zone will have three decks and that the third deck wraps all the way around the east side of the stadium too! :pwink:

If that is what they are using to model it after, I just went from **** yeah!!!! to meh.
Agreed. Compared to some of the previous renderings, it's not as impressive. But like everyone has said, still better than the current state.

I think there are a couple things to remember in regards to the cost

-there is really no old structure to demolish, renovate or retrofit, like Kyle Field for ATM, basically we are just working with bare ground. this saves a ton of cost
-footings are already in place from the initial construction of the stadium

That's pretty much exactly what I was getting at. Compared to what we have seen, it just wouldn't nearly what I thought.

I never said it wouldn't be an improvement.

I can't imagine they would use the new south scoreboard for sound. I would imagine sound from both ends would be an acoustic problem, but, hey, I don't design stadiums for a living.

How would improved sound equipment on the south side cause acoustic problems? Haven't you heard of surround sound?

How about a compromise -- sound in the North endzone, pyrotechnics in the South.

You know when you setup a surround sound system how you have to setup the speaker distances relative to your seating position so that the signals can be delayed in order to ensure all the sound arrives at your ear at the same time?

For people sitting at an equal distance from both scoreboards great, but for everyone else maybe not so much.
