I heard the new end zone will have three decks and that the third deck wraps all the way around the east side of the stadium too! wink:

I asked Jamie Pollard how ISU could do a similar scoreboard on the south end as the north with an upper-deck. He referred to Texas Tech.

Here is what Texas Tech did. You can see a big scoreboard and still an upper-deck: pic.twitter.com/nCJbD4OyOK

Madden said the new scoreboard on the south end zone at JTS would probably replicate the current one on the north end. #Cyclones

If that is what they are using to model it after, I just went from **** yeah!!!! to meh.
well then....that makes sense. I am really jacked up about having an another awesome video board in the stadium. That will look great.
Any bowled endzone is better than none. Go tell the Reimans you're disappointed.

why - that's still 1000000000000000000000x better than what we have now
There was no sarcasm pirate on my reply. I do think its awesome. I was in a meeting when I repliedThats awesome
Agreed. Compared to some of the previous renderings, it's not as impressive. But like everyone has said, still better than the current state. If that is what they are using to model it after, I just went from **** yeah!!!! to meh.

That's pretty much exactly what I was getting at. Compared to what we have seen, it just wouldn't nearly what I thought.
I never said it wouldn't be an improvement.
How about a compromise -- sound in the North endzone, pyrotechnics in the South.I can't imagine they would use the new south scoreboard for sound. I would imagine sound from both ends would be an acoustic problem, but, hey, I don't design stadiums for a living.
How would improved sound equipment on the south side cause acoustic problems? Haven't you heard of surround sound?
