So I believe these are the teams who completed an in-home with McEwen this weekend:

Creighton (Mac) - Friday
Marquette (Woj) - Saturday
Virginia Tech (Assistant) - Saturday
GCU (Majerle) - Sunday
ISU (Prohm) - Sunday

Creighton is in on almost every high level transfer (sit outs and grad transfers). Zach Johnson (FGCU), Prentiss Nixon (Colorado State), Mark Smith (Illinois), Joe Cremo (Albany), Nat Dixon (Chattanoga), Ryan Taylor (Evansville), Mooney (South Dakota). They only have one open scholly in 18-19 so I would think the priority for them would be a grad transfer. But Khyri Thomas could leave for the draft and that would open up another scholarship.

Can't hurt that we haven't heard anything more on Oregon or Ohio State's involvement. I would think with our past connections, the AAU team's involvement could only help us here if anything.

I only watched the first half, but I guess this must not have been McEwen's best game.

Way up there
I can't see a guy like Mooney wanting to be a specialist off the bench. IMO that's the hesitation to make a quick offer. On paper, landing a sit out guy would be much more likely but getting a starter quality player who would accept a supporting role would be ideal for next year.

That's going to be tough to find, excluding 17/18 when everyone on the roster got a chance to start at some point, the most mpg a bench guy has gotten under Prohm was Burton's 18mpg in 15/16. He likes to lean on his starters, especially at guard. Not sure that kind of playing time is going to attract the type of kid that can make an impact, unless the kid is only worried about winning.

I think the staff would rather go all in on this year but they realistically know a sit out guy is more likely.

CJ Walker committed to the Buckeyes this weekend could be why they haven't been associated with McEwen publically. Though the rumors are that was the OSU favorite could still materialize depending on their scholarship situation.
