Been exchanging some messages with Joseph. Sounds like the visit this weekend went really well and he was ready to end his recruitment. He is Iowa State's highest-rated 247Composite commit of the Campbell era.

This is a win, win. The trust already earned by this staff by sticking with Joseph will help the young man for the next 4-5 years during those times when things are tough.

It just opens up. Hey, we must have some level of confidence to have taken him. But he called Alabama his dream school and didn’t go there. He hasn’t taken one official visit. Guys this talented don’t just get turned away for no reason.

This is the next step. Get some higher ranked players in here and have them succeed, even if there is some risk. Put a good plan in place for the young man and make it work. Alabama doesn't need to go down this path.
