Curious of the bigs who do u prefer? Bates, Osun, and Bates?

Can he bring this consistently? If so, imagine that with Ward next to him for defense, or a guy like King or Kunc for offense. I would have loved the other St Bonnie wing, for his defense and 37% 3P shooting, but perhaps Holmes can also be another shooter with AJG

Last year his 3 pt % went down, FT shooting went up which is a major positive, TO’s were a problem

His usage also went up. His 3P shooting in Feb and March was 35% if i recall correctly

Despite the decrease in 3P shooting, his eFG was like Enaruna's and better than all but Conditt. Against weaker competition obviously.

Why does this guy constantly insult posters who disagree with his opinion?

Assuming this is about Who/Swarthemore/FinalFour...I can't think of the comparison to the tone of his posts....the blob?

This guy?

I get it on wanting size and length like Tech, but we had to get some guys who could get buckets...going 5 out and hoping IZB would hit fadeways at the end of the shot clock or Gabe shooting an off balance 3, not ideal

If the wingspan on Williams is accurate we can play he and Gabe, Holmes and Green(if he comes)together for long stretches.

I’ll go back to it. We literally had one guy that was able to initiate any sort of half court offense, and a second that was able to initiate for himself.

Teams denied the ball to Tyrese to force Gabe to bring the ball up and get us into a set, and he struggled with that

Realistically, I really felt like Jaz would have been a second guy to initiate offense, but that wasn’t how he was used.

If you have guys like Caleb and Tre as your secondary guards, there isn’t enough competent dribbling to even beat people off the dribble.

As far as scheme, anytime a big screened and rolled, we rarely if ever gave him the ball.
Usually passing to the big on the screen in roll is a great play but passing to Bob who was 50% on layups and 29% from the line was a bad basketball play last season.

Bob was great at it at the end of the year though. That action literally got us back in the game after being down 29-4 in Waco.

Also had big plays against K State diving to the rim.

I agree with you to a point, but there were times I was watching and Tristen would dive to the basket and be open. Seemed our guards were pre-programmed to just pass it around the horn when the first offensive set of a possession was happening.

For some reason a lot of our offensive sets worked better against Baylor than most teams.

If AJG is cyclone we will compete for a tournament spot again, but I will not have top 25 expectations. I think people need to slow their expectations a bit. We are still incredibly weak in the front court compared to those in our conference and still lack shooting.

Unless big 12 takes a step back we also need to accept fact that even if we are top 25 or tournament caliber, the AP poll won’t rank more than 4-5 teams and the tourney won’t allow more than 6.

No real reward for having such a deep league other than maybe sharpening the steel for the top teams that get good tourney seeds. It’s not like the media pops wood about it the way they do with SEC football dominance.

The entire conference was top 66 in Kenpom and similar in other computer models. That’s an unprecedented % of quality unless someone can show me something I’m unaware of.
