  1. OU - no win more meaningful nor enjoyable than that flag plant/nut busting effort
  2. oSu - unlike Boomer, played no one in a romp
  3. K-State - see #2
  4. TCU - never underestimate how good a coach he is
  5. WVU - some redemption in nice win over ECU
  6. UT - hey, they didn't wilt
  7. Tech - most underrated coming into the season
  8. ISU - really tough not knowing how to win
  9. Ku - at least they won one
  10. Baylor - tarped

We would beat San Jose State 56 0 as well. **** Bevo

Yep. We're better this year, and beat SJSU 44-10 last year. Probably couldve poured it on more if we'd wanted to iirc. Texas had extra motivation to administer a beatdown after last week.

Oklahoma looked very good. Teams 2-6 looked good. Baylor & KU looked very bad.

1. Oklahoma - obvious
2. TCU - wins tiebreaker over WVU for true road win, wins coin-flip.
West Virginia - lost neutral-site game vs. top-25 team, loses coin-flip.
4. Oklahoma State — Credit for 2-0. Steamrolled 2 cupcakes, gets nod over KSU for (a) true road win (b) both vs. FBS.
5. Kansas State — Credit for 2-0. Steamrolled 2 cupcakes at home, one FCS.
6. Iowa State — OT loss to Iowa slightly less damaging than home loss vs. Maryland
7. Texas
8. Texas Tech — 1-0, but vs. FCS. Not enough “data points.”
9. Kansas
10. Baylor

Hard to argue his method. Vandy in Nashville will be a legit test before opening at home with Baylor.

Side note: Missouri fired their d'coordinator. Maybe they should fire the SEC.

Too early to say anything besides Oklahoma #1, really. TCU probably deserves #2 with a road win over Arkansas, but who knows how good Arkansas is?

I am thinking about Iowa State's bowl possibilities when I look at this list. Need four Big 12 wins, assuming Akron goes well. Kansas and Baylor have to be the first two to come to mind. Even though ISU plays Baylor in Waco, based on these first two games the Cyclones should be favored there. So that Texas game in about a week and a half looms large. If ISU wins on Thursday night against the Longhorns, they might actually have better than a 50% shot to get to six wins at that point.

I thought we played a lot better yesterday than against UNI. We are good enough to beat 5 or 6 of those teams and hang with all of them.

I believe Arkansas is really bad, although Brent has a way of rallying his teams from the depths of despair.

Anyway, I wouldn't overstate the value of TCU's win down there, although it was nice for the league as well as the horny toads.

6. Iowa State (6): The Cyclones will be kicking themselves for this past weekend for a long time. Iowa State could not hold a 10-point fourth-quarter lead over Iowa, which rallied to topple the Cyclones in overtime. No doubt Iowa State will be a difficult out for Big 12 opposition this season. But getting the Cy-Hawk Trophy would've gone a long way toward helping Iowa State reach its bowl dreams.

I'll be fairly surprised at the end of the season if most of the team's aren't in these 4 groups:

Top 2 OU & OSU
3-5 KSU, WW, & TCU
6-8 ISU, Tech, & UT
Bottom 2 KU & rape enabling Baptists
