Hot AND windy. Just screams "Go for a ride."

Eyeballing the single thunderstorm on the radar. It is smokin' east, moving FAST. Might be targeting just a smidge south of metro. Pondering how strong my storm magnet is today.

Edit: looked at warning, it's moving at 60 mph.

Destination Rochester.

If history is any indication.

Something I have been thinking about lately. When we tell people that we have 2 dogs, they always say, whats wrong with you? Are you crazy? But, if we said we had 2 kids, nobody would bat an eye.

Now, Im not sayong there isnt something wrong with us or that we arent crazy, just something I have noticed.

I don't feel like people judged us for having two dogs....up until they found out we have little dude on the way.

I have a younger coworker who won't make a decision without consulting half the group, and I I really think he should be past the point of pooping his pants whenever he is asked to actually do something. It's stressing me out because I'm pretty well loaded up with work and problems of my own, because personally I'm dealing with the most technically savvy client I've ever had in my career. We haven't worked with them before, and management thought it was a good idea to do EPC projects before doing any engineering with them, which is terribly stressful because usually it takes a couple of years working with a new client before you really understand their processes, and now in our endless search for higher profits, we are learning how to work with this difficult new client while dealing with much more increased risk for losing money due to any potential issues arising from engineering.

SO...because I have been unable to get any decent help from my boss, and wringing this FNG who shouldn't be a FNG's neck isn't a viable option, I have printed a picture of Shia Labeouf that says "What Would Shia Do", and whenever he has a question I don't want to deal at that time, I ask him what Shia would do. Because SHIA WOULD JUST DO IT.

I don't ******* care if he gets it wrong. It's much easier to check stuff than to do it, and I can find somebody to check it or check it myself. I just want him to do something on his own.

So I got a Shia Lebeouf bumper sticker cause I thought it was funny. Thx for letting me rant.

It's what we're here for. :D

Just one question, though - why is Shia grabbing his crotch?

I think it's time to venture out and forage for some feed. Don't feel much like gnawing on frozen beef or frozen salmon. Got things to do tomorrow so thinking wine for supper isn't a good idea.

Boxster, I've heard the week after the tour they ride the route for amateur riders, you could do that next yr and bring home Monique (or at least enjoy her company until the tour is over).

Probably won't get past Stage 5 which was champagne country or yesterday which was pinot country. So much wine country.

Nothing wrong with that.

What did you end up with for supper? I ended up with a ham salad sandwich and a cranberry walnut muffin for dessert.
