Does anyone remember drivers licenses without the driver's picture on them? I don't but have heard about them. That just doesn't seem to be very useful since it would be pretty easy to steal and use someone else's document.
My first license was just a 1/3 size green computer card with my stuff printed on it, no picture. Back when Iowa used SSN as driver's license number I knew a girl that took her older sister's SS card down to the DMV and told them she lost her DL. They took her picture and printed up a new one on the spot. Her picture with her older sisters info. The perfect fake ID.

Like the old paper licenses from when I was in HS and college and my name was Bruce and not Boxster and I lived in Badger, Iowa and not Birch Hall. I was also a little older and taller than Boxster.

Who needs a photo ID to vote?

Yeah, I know, that is bordering on cave-ish.
It could be inferred as being cave-ish but I'm going to point out that we're just having fun with Illinois politics.

Tangential - Did I ever mention that my sister was once set up on a date with Rod Blagojevich? She was not impressed and there was no second date. To paraphrase - "He kept talking about himself and had hair like a monchichi."

I would have guessed Illinois. It's easier for dead people to vote if they don't have a photo ID.

Remember....vote early, vote often.

You've been holding on to that for a LONG time, buddy.

Glad your sister has common sense.

Airport security was not as intense either. Didn't even need freaking ID to board planes.

I suppose I have to spill as well. Mrs. Velo had a good friend who was dating an I-Cub. She went out on something of an impromptu double date with her friend, friend's boyfriend and a Cub who was down from the big league team on a rehab stint or something like that. Let's just say that future Mrs. Velo was not at all impressed with Sammy Sosa.

War! Hummingbird feeder didn't last but two hours today.

Am I the only one who found it funny that a post about the hummingbird (the helicopter of the bird world) feeder not lasting and a pic of a full size primitive helicopter were posted back to back?

Yes, I probably am the only twisted individual who went there...

Most decidedly not. He expected much more out of her than she was willing to give on a first date - or second, or third, or fourth,...

I've probably said too much already...
I had some interesting dates while I was single. One was a really funny guy who played for the Buffalo Bills way back when. He wasn't bragging on it - it came up when we were talking about past jobs. I asked why he only played one year, and he said "because I figured out how much it HURT". Really enjoyable date, but I had met Lew in between agreeing to that date and the execution of that date (and Lew knew I went), so it was a first and last date with him. No ragrets, tho... ;)

Some offshore employee shared their screen in a Microsoft Teams chat session 5 hours & 20 minutes ago. Finally unshared it. In all that time I never saw a single bit of work get done. I mean absolutely nothing.

Jim Bouton passed away yesterday at 80. He wrote one of the most influential books of the 1970s, called Ball Four. As a baseball fan from childhood, I loved the book and found it immensely funny. It really did change the way sportswriters wrote about sports, too.
