Not exactly sure.
Pitcher named Bummer reminded me of when I was out of college about a year and told my boss that I would not have have given the loan out to the customer that he did. Boss was not happy and confused. He asked why.

Told him his last name would have kept me from doing it. Don’t loan money to someone named Bonjour. It’s just telling the money goodbye. I then had to tell him the correlation between bonjour and goodbye. He finally laughed.

Later I finally found out that bonjour does not mean goodbye but actually hello.

Drove to go on a group ride got there in time to watch it get rained out.

Squeezed in a ride after the paths dried off around 5:30 that made my 300 mile goal for June, just. Usually don't do rest stops but paused at Lake Harriet because there was a concert in the big band shell. They were getting ready to conclude with the 1812 Overture so had to pause and listen to that.

Oh, and bikini yoga gal at mile 5, Lake of the Isles, just to let you know the lake ride is still cool. Everybody was out after the thunderstorms passed. ;)

Did you stop at mile five and get a number (email, Twitter link, snap chat link, grinder account or whatever the new number thing is)?

I'm thinking mile 5 would have been a good time for a break.

The appropriate course of action for any guy, regardless of age, is to appreciate the aesthetic and keep biking.

Non stop lightning here. Thunderstorm warning for the one that going to hit my hood in about 30 minutes, maybe just a neighborhood south. Kinda stacking up like trains west of here.

Bonjour literally means "good day".

So started a side job (deck project) yesterday. We hit it early (10:00AM) in an attempt to avoid the hottest part of the day. Our goal was to get the ledger board attached to the house, then auger 3 holes down about 4 feet to set three support posts.

Everything went well, DND. Stopped frequently for water and shade. There was an occasional breeze, for which we were very thankful.

Finished about 12:30 and went home and showered and vegetated on the couch in the AC, watching Nate Lashey wrap up his first PGA Tour victory.

Pretty sure this isn't a grinder thing.

Speaking of this, has anybody else seen You on Netflix? We're about halfway through. I'm entertained.

It is so, so good that you are doing this and so good that you are talking about it (even if limited, sharing with those you may be unsure of their support/response is risky).
I'm a hypocrite in that I often encourage others to talk to someone but yet never have myself. It's gotten better with time, but there's some worry/stress post-LM that was probably worth seeing someone over but the time to do that, blah. I've exercised it out instead, I guess. That's a bit facetious but I really do think exercise has been a big help.
Though coming up on his birthday (HOW?!).......keep going back to his arrival and mentally rehashing that and wondering how it could have gone better. Don't know how you deal with that though, talking about it doesn't fix it. Time will, I suppose.

One of the biggest upsides to getting it under control is I am more relaxed now and have a longer fuse...which has come in very with a four year old. MrsWx used to make me walk away when he was throwing fits but now I am the one tapping her out to take a breather.

Had to drive down and back later yesterday for a family event. Spent more time driving than there but oh well. While there, DH sent a pic of shelf cloud rolling in at our place. Shortly after, the sirens start going off in the town I was in. Cool, cool. Could only see a bit to the south so there was a bit of anxiety before we all figured it out it was an extension of a watch and not a tornado. But it did get me looking at radar and seeing the nasty stuff coming at us. Event kept going but I'm like when can I leave because I wanted to get north ASAP. The nasty stuff was to the northwest coming across so I knew the faster I got north, the more I'd miss. By the time I left, I only made it just past state line (and past one of two firetrucks I saw out storm spotting, always a comforting feeling lol) and ran right into it. Couldn't see the road 2 feet in front of me so I went about 5mph for a few minutes just trying to get to the east/west road and then not be driving into it. As Boxster would say, made it and DND. Did get ahead of the worst of it though - 80mph further to the west.
