Weird. Sunny out and winds not blowing 20 mph.

Might have to put on sunscreen.

Edit: I am such an idiot. Getting ready to go biking and it's gusting to 18 mph. I am a ******* wind magnet.

Not exactly sure.
Dh likes to learn how to do stuff like this. He did mention the idea of fixing it from the roof. IDK how though because he'd have to hold it and nail in? IDK, we'll have to talk and get it done soon cause I don't like that the wood is exposed right now. He fixed one that had come loose last year on the roof above our patio but that was easier to get to.

Exposed wood can be good or bad

I am too lazy to look it up but I wonder if colon cancer might be the most ignored type of cancer due to the nature of the symptoms and what not. Found out our elderly neighbor passed away somewhat suddenly due to undiagnosed colon cancer. He went into the ER one thing lead to another and he was diagnosed with it and some other stuff, moved to hospice and passed away five days later. MrsWx has had at least a couple of these cases in her short time in the ER as well.

Don't ignore your poop people!

Also the guy apparently had in his will that he wanted to be burried with his dog who was older. Found this out through a good friend who works at their vet clinic and there was quite the discussion on the ethics of putting a dog down so it can be buried with it's neighbor. They ended up doing it I believe because the dog was older and had arthritis and what not but there were some long discussions on it.

Taking LilWx to the Quad City Airshow on Sunday. Going to be a scorcher but he loves the Blue Angels so hopefully he behaves so we can enjoy it.

My grandmother died of metastasized colon cancer. It infiltrated the rest of her body before she even knew she had it. My father, my sisters & I are rigorous about getting scoped. Screening is vital to early detection and successfully beating colon cancer.

The weather was just messin' with me. The wind died down to not much at all. Am I losing my curse? It's my only super power.

Have friend with mental problems. He takes a small thing and blows it up to the end of the world. He had a hard drive crash and only a portion of the pictures were backed up. It has been a month that he has been nearly psych ward level (even on meds) about this. Wants to change houses because it reminds him of it. This is the third bout over this same deal (since mid April for the first go around).

He won’t make an effort to get help or allow anyone to help him. The 15 phone calls with no talking and 75 texts (I counted one day) each day are wearing me out. His whole family is exhausted. I hate when my phone rings or beeps now, I’m mentally exhausted but know if I don’t take some, his wife and sons won’t get a break.

Can’t commit him since he is not a suicide threat. His doctor is out of the office more than she is in it seems. How do you help someone who won’t get help or accept any? I’m beat.

I have had 2 colonoscopies (passed both with flying colors, yay) but I cannot talk the vixen into having one. I've told her how painless and simple they are, but I don't think she believes me. I really wish she would, because that can head some nasty things off at the pass.

That's right, I said pass, not a$$.

ok, question for smarter home DIY people. That piece of flashing that got ripped off got kinda mangled by the wind so I don't think we want to reattach that piece. How do we go about finding a new piece? It's a standard seeming cool white color - is that something like a Home Depot has? The other thing is seeing if we'll even fix it ourselves. It's on the high side of the house so IDK about DH going up there. And lol at the idea of me doing that.

You built new correct? Would it still be covered by your builder?

Edit didn't realize it was 4 yrs ago IMO builder should be off the hook.(depending on what your contract says). If DH doesn't get it start asking neighbors about a dependable handy man.

Silly girl he is expecting you to hold it in place while he attaches it;).

Edit I almost used the words nails it for attaches but euphemisms. ;)

Prep isn't any fun but the procedure is a sleep right thru.

Not good, she needs to do this. Tell her you know a guy that has had so many he has lost count (gotta be a dozen, maybe more). The exam is always easy peasy and even easier now with drugs. She won't even know they did it.

One of the bigger lessons from stories like A River Runs Through It is that people who need the most help, don't seek it out.

I don't have friends with official mental issues, but they have issues and have habits of associating themselves with people with mental stuff so it's easy to see it spread and take over a night.

Sadly at some point it's on them to help themselves and work through things in a health manner.

Sooo y'all are about to be the first people I admit this to after my wife and best friend...haven't even told my parents. I can't thank MrsWx enough for pretty much forcing me to go in and get some help for my anxiety. So many things that I have done and struggled with in the past make much more sense why I did or reacted that way now. I wish mental health wasn't such a taboo thing but yet here we are.
