Am I wrong thinking it is weird when someone gets admitted to a private facebook page and they post a thank you for admitting them to the group?
This one group has over 55,000 members, It's not like some sort of exclusive club.

It's an easy way for them to let their 55,000 colleagues know they're there. Still dumb, though. The group admins approve their request, not the other 54,995 people.

Heck, I think it's weird when people post welcome messages here.
I usually just see that and assume someone is flaming out within a few weeks.
So I would think it's weird.

Naturally as soon as I declare total war Mr. Mangy Tail is nowhere to be seen. Just his younger tree rat minions.

Hot AND windy. Just screams "Go for a ride."

Eyeballing the single thunderstorm on the radar. It is smokin' east, moving FAST. Might be targeting just a smidge south of metro. Pondering how strong my storm magnet is today.

Edit: looked at warning, it's moving at 60 mph.

You can outrun it.

Busy weekend ahead. Celebrating our anniversary tonight with dinner and Newsies at TCR, Young Eagles tomorrow and then camping out with LittleWx in my parents back yard tomorrow night. Partially for the fun of it and as a dry run to see how well he will do in Oshkosh.

Ah, **** me. In the time it took to get dressed, put on sunscreen and add tire air it went to 100% cloudy and **** started forming up just west of Lake Minnetonka. Should probably just put on garden clothes and go out and break another shovel.

Yep. It clouded up pretty quickly.

Not the southern mountains but really hilly area. Finished on 20% grade. On gravel. After a day of climbs. Kinda gimmicky but interesting.

Just turned on Stage 7. Channel flipping to find it I stumbled on some guy talking about President Lincoln. And, yup, how he was guided and influenced by extraterrestrials. JFC. :(

How did the gravel portion play out? Road bikes on gravel sounds scary to me.

A couple of days ago I saw the city put up some cones and blocked off a section of the main road going to my neighborhood. Being that the road is scheduled to be completely rebuilt starting in 6 months I found it hard to believe they were going to patch a section. Then I drove by. I bet the first person to hit that got quite a surprise.

Those cones won't do any good.

Was not a long stretch buy the grade was crazy. Guys literally stopped a few feet past the finish and had to be pushed out of the way.

By Tour standards they were just crawling up that final stretch.

Yeah, the one guy I thought was not going to make across the line. He literally stopped with his front tire on the line and the pusher guy was telling him he had to get across himself - he couldn't push him across. He ended up putting his foot down and pushing himself across so he could get out of the way of other finishers.

It was also a one way deal as that road was the only way to the peak so the riders had to get back on their bikes and bike back down the mountain for a ways to where the awards ceremony and all of the team buses were.

Today's stage should have been easy since it is only like 230 KM with just a few climbs.
