I heard on the radio several years back that there was a boy scout going door to door offering free manual breast cancer screenings as a service project. That kid is going to amount to something.
What merit badge does that get you?

Nice write up about Tyrese Haliburton in this morning's DM Rag. My sister lives in Oshkosh - that's where Tyrese played in high school - and she remembers the recruiting crush as he approached graduation. Not many P5 schools were looking at him, but Prohm did his homework and found a real gem.

He is actually predicted to be a first round NBA draft pick after next season. Best part is, he's a really great guy.

Incidentally, for all you car buffs who are obsessed with keeping your ride sparkling clean, the vixen gave me a tip for getting tar off your vehicle - WD40. It really works!

I think that means two flies got into your house.
I took one of those nasty fly paper strips, drizzled a little honey on it and hung it up over the kitchen sink where they all congregate. This morning there looked to be about 30 stuck to it but still plenty more still on the window looking outside.

My youngest wanted to hang the last one, We seem to have one in our kitchen non stop. We take it when company comes (those things work) and he caught one before he even had it hung up.

So I am minding my own business last night when apparently I bumped something into an electrical plug that was plugged into an outlet and the metal wire for my meat thermometer was apparently sitting on top of it which then slipped between the wall and the plug touching the prongs which were still engaged in the outlet causing it all to short out and send sparks flying and charring the outlet face. So that was fun.

I caught the first last night as I was hanging it up. Of course with all the flies, one was bound to bump into it.

We've crossed paths with his dad at a couple of games after meeting him in Maui. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Dad & Mom were at nearly all of his home games last year. You know how Tyrese is nearly always smiling on the court? So's dad. :D

Those flypaper strips are a godsend around here. I just wished they worked on the freaking little green gnats that can fit through the mesh of the window screens. They LOVE computer screens!

This week is the ABATE of Iowa Freedom Rally in Algona. I'll be up there selling raffle tickets for our charity group. I'm not camping and the nearest hotel for a reasonable price was in Humboldt so I'll be staying there. I'll be close enough to Fort Dodge and Taco Tico that I should stop by either Thursday when I go out there or Sunday when I head back to Omaha.
