Got a part time/summer gig (finally) as an early morning stocker at a local grocery store for two-three days/week.

First impressions are that the bar is pretty low for what they expect out of their employees and things aren't very organized in general.

Hopefully things settle in and I can just get in, stock some shelves and call it good.

When you're working from home and keep saying "I need to remember to do the thing..." and then realize you never did that thing at about 10:15pm, so you have to log back on so that it's done before midnight....I hope?

New Internet is up and running! Cancellation call to Mediacom coming today!
They say that one of life's best days is cancelling Mediacom.
We finally have another option in Omaha. The hard part is my email address is tied to so many things. That will take forever to work out

2 yrs or so ago I got to dump frontier for the local phone coop. Huge improvement from daily use and service both.
In my case it was surprising how many emails I was getting I could just leave behind.

Not exactly sure.
Daughter is on dean's list but ISU didn't award a scholarship for this upcoming year. First time in all four years. Must figure she's a senior so she will be there anyhow.

Neighbors got a new grill and I saw Dad and two older sons were huddled around it. I asked what was going on as I didn't really want to see them all of the sudden light it and burn their faces. They said it wouldn't light. I went over turned the grill knobs to start and couldn't smell any propane. I told them that the valve on the tank might be bad (which it ended up being after they took the tank back). I had a full tank in my garage. I went over and got it, hooked it up and turned the grill to start, yep smelled the gas. Waited a minute and fired the grill up. They asked me if I would try the tank on their old grill to see if it worked. Yep, it fired right up.

They said, "Maybe the tank was empty and that's why the grill wouldn't start." "Do you think we should take the new grill back?" I just quietly unhooked my propane tank and left shaking my head. A 78 year old man and his two sons in their mid to late 30's, who have had a grill in their backyard for years, could not decipher the issue. I was just chuckling on the 40' walk back to my garage.

I guess there are no phone apps for common sense.
