I love onion rings, but after about 4 of them, I don't love them anymore.Well if you are in West Union Iowa I would recommend the Barrel drive in, coney onion rings and a small root beer $6 plus some change. The onion rings are darn good.
While I appreciate the recommendation, West Union is not a town I want to ever find myself in again.Well if you are in West Union Iowa I would recommend the Barrel drive in, coney onion rings and a small root beer $6 plus some change. The onion rings are darn good.
Not long after college I got my first after college full time job in Nebraska. I needed a vehicle so I bought a used small pickup thinking it would help with the move as well. When I had to license it in Nebraska I couldn't understand why they kept telling me I had to license it as a commercial vehicle. In Nebraska they would probably charge me $1k a year for that box
I'd like to know more of that storyWhile I appreciate the recommendation, West Union is not a town I want to ever find myself in again.
Went there for a couple sporting activities. While I will say that Upper Iowa has a nice campus, the town came across as dirty and rough.I'd like to know more of that story
Well to be fair some of the side streets are gravelWent there for a couple sporting activities. While I will say that Upper Iowa has a nice campus, the town came across as dirty and rough.
It has been a long time since I have been around that area, but isn't Upper Iowa in Fayette?Went there for a couple sporting activities. While I will say that Upper Iowa has a nice campus, the town came across as dirty and rough.
I think it was West Union that we went to play football games one evening in junior high. We had both a 7th grade team and an 8th grade team. On the way the coaches told us that we would be playing just one game. When we got there we were busy working on how we would be combining our two teams since we had slightly different systems. When the game started I realized why we were only playing one game. I looked across at the opposing bench when they were lined up for kickoff and there was one player sitting between their head coach and assistant coach. That's right, they had 12 kids out for football and this was long after short sided football had ended in the '50s and long before 8 man football was reintroduced at the end of the last century. I'm not sure what was worse for him - the knowledge that he was without question the worst player on the team and everyone knew it or that he was always one play away from having to fill in at pretty much any position on the field.Went there for a couple sporting activities. Then west Union may be okay but fayette is a crap hole. My bad.It has been a long time since I have been around that area, but isn't Upper Iowa in Fayette?

Worse was playing 9 man on an 11 player field. If they got the corner on you, it was a track meet.I think it was West Union that we went to play football games one evening in junior high. Our combined team destroyed them and I'm pretty sure either our 7th grade or 8th grade team could have done the job alone.
I'll never forget that one lonely kid sitting on the bench.
And property tax on your vehicle. Not long after college I got my first after college full time job in Nebraska. I needed a vehicle so I bought a used small pickup thinking it would help with the move as well. When I had to license it in Nebraska I couldn't understand why they kept telling me I had to license it as a commercial vehicle.
-"Is it a farm vehicle?"
"No, I don't live on a farm."
-"Then you will have to get a commercial license."
"No, it is my personal vehicle."
-"If if isn't a farm vehicle it is a commercial vehicle."
"No, I don't use it for work at all. I drive it to work and that is about it. It is a personal vehicle."
-"If it isn't a farm truck, it is a commercial truck. Don't make me call security."
Ok, I guess...
-"Now about wheelage tax..."
How would you build this shelf? You have the bracing material and now it’s down to the boards to make the shelf. The width you will build it in is 63 inches. There are 3 board options. 24”/36”/48”. What combination of boards will you buy and how will you cut them if you decide to cut any?
Core memory unlocked when the neighbors got a new refrigerator and we spent a whole summer day playing in it/with it until it was busted up beyond usefulness. It's raw land, I'm currently trying to find a nice sized refrigerator box to live in
Just one of the many...MANY...reasons I'm glad I don't live in Nebraska anymore.Ok, I guess...

Gotta be the full length.Do you really need the 63 or will 60 get by?
Welll if you use 36 you've got a 9 inch piece left over that you can screw onto the bottom to strengthen the joint if it is just a rough shelf like in a shop or basement or somewhere like that. If your making fancy joints it doesn't matter much IMO which lengths you pick.Gotta be the full length.
