Texas just pulled out a 30-28 3rd set win over Penn State. Channel flipped in just after they got into the 20's. Was an entertaining back-and-forth.

Rest of the match will be boring now. ;)

You were correct. UT pulled off an easy win in the next set. Will play the Huskers tomorrow night.

The Gopher vs Pitt game was also entertaining/5 sets. Pitt won. Louisville lost to Washington in 5 sets.

Getting ready to watch Florida & Mary Wise next.

Unseeded Pitt has now knocked off #3 Minnesota and #14 Utah to get to the regional final against Washington who was down 7-1 and 11-5 in the 5th set against Louisville but came back to win that final set on a 7 point run.

Texas vs Nebraska about to start. Will be Lexi Sun playing against her former team. Winner goes to the final four.

It really looked like Pitt was going to continue their crazy run against Washington. Won the first two sets pretty decidedly before losing in 5. Hopefully this Texas-Nebraska match is just as entertaining.

Semi-final four teams will be in action on Thursday 4/22 4:00 PM (UK vs Washington) & 9:00 PM (TX vs Wisky) on ESPN2. There is an obvious thing all four teams have in common.

For some reason, I've watched a lot of matches, but I haven't seen Washington play yet. From what I've seen, they are going to have their hands full with Kentucky, as they looked dominant in their throttling of Purdue.

I've watched a decent amount of Texas and Wisconsin and am really looking forward to that matchup. Texas is loaded with athletes and Eggleston is on fire as of late, but Wisky has incredible composure and tends to enforce their style of play over whoever they face.

This will probably be the best match of any of the ones remaining. TX Kentucky would be a good one but I think the badger probably wins it all.

Male coaches. There are definitely good female coaches. But, it really seems to me on average what male coaches experience as players, gives them a stronger understanding of strategy, strength, and more. This is not a putdown of female coaches, as I don't see this in other sports. Experience by these coaches is parlayed into more effective coaching and in-game situational advantages.

I'm curious to see if Wisconsin tightens up their mid-court coverage. Florida had a stretch where they really exposed the Badgers with rolls and using quick attacks from the setter. It made them look mortal for a while.

Remarkably, there have been a grand total of ZERO female head coaches win a D-I Women's VB title. 0 for 39, and now 0 for 40 since the last four teams standing all have male coaches.

Yep, that is extremely odd IMO when compared to the # of female WBB HCs who have won national titles. Is there really a discernible difference in coaching VB vs WBB that would cause that anomaly?
