I'm at a point with cyclone football whee even a coaching change will not re energize me any more. Bringing in Chizik and then CPR were thoroughly refreshing and gave me plenty of renewed hope. Now I'm at that horrible place called resigned with ISU football.

Quite honestly, as bad as Rhoads is, or as bad as the program has become under his watch, I'm not sure anyone with any credentials whatsoever would want the job. You'd be in the position of taking a flyer on another unproven assistant coach, in which case you might as well keep what you've got or just hand the job to Mangino.
