In an attempt to scale down the over-inflated Rep system, Jeremy put in some kind of equation where it calculates it differently. It still shows the old number in some places, though.

Rep Points is the old rep system, Rep Power is the new rep system. You should look at what you posts say.

It is rep points, they do nothing, no use worrying about it...Credits are more important. That is why I have so many more credits than rep....

That's too sweet! I hope it made sense. It was one of the several things attempted during the Karma-Thanks-Rep trials this past weekend. It was the most like the old (familiar) system yet still made the system a little easier to manage.

Rep points, schmep points. Who gives a rip? The system's seriously flawed. All you gotta do is post something that somebody who has a gazillion posts disagress with and it's all taken away. Just say what's on your mind (without personally attacking anyone) and let the points fall where they may. No need to worry about being PC ... Hillbillary's not in the White House, yet!

I think it was the Build-A-Burger competition. 22 and I got in - maybe partially because I put our names in the box a couple of times for the drawing. :wink: We still won on our own merits!!

honestly I wouldnt' worry about it. Neither one mean anything except to people who have low self esteem and use the message boards to build their self image through positive reinforcement.
Dang, now that I know this, I will have to go back to self-flagellation, cutting, and genital mutilation.:sad:
That's one of the reasons for the attempt at curbing the system (as seen by the current lower rep values). Good observation - this is an attempt to try and deflate some of that.
