But wait, all the dumber than dirt mouth breathers on the radio have been foaming at the mouth about OU and UT bolting and the demise of the Big 12. Yes, these schools are going to to the big 10 or SEC to have less control and make less money.
Paul Finebaum is still scratching his head over this, but its understandable. I don't think they get into the difference of dividing by 10 vs 14 until doctorate level classes in Tennessee.

Chris,

Two questions:

1. Why did the Big 12 release this on a Friday afternoon? Isn't that how to bury news?
2. What do you mean by the Big 12 "going linear?" I assume you mean going directly to customers with pay-per-view games and subscriptions.

Thanks for giving us some real numbers related to Texas and Oklahoma, particularly with all the hot air blowing around about them. No way are they going anywhere with money like that (which is going to grow for the next few years, but only if they stay in the Big 12).

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference released its Form 990 late last week and Syracuse's share of the conference's revenue distribution during the 2015-16 academic year totaled nearly $22.8 million ... Syracuse's payout ranked third-to-last in the conference ahead of Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. Clemson received the most money at $27.9 million.
