I was always hoping Jennert would pull his mullet out of his *** and be that great receiver we've all been longing for

Jennert was rail thin and I don't think he would have held up in Big 12 play, plus we have some depth there and 3 good young receivers coming off redshirts to compete with. We have West in the slot and Neely could play there too, so Lampkin would have had a lot of competition too. Imo this doesn't hurt us much.

Sucks on Mattison, Young, Jennert, and Duck... Thought those guys could have contributed but I guess they couldn't or didn't want to bad enough.... Next guy in.

Yep. Which is probably why he wasnt more highly recruited considering his physical attributes.

He also tried to market himself as being around 6'3" and 225 lbs. In reality he was under 5'10" and maybe 185 when he signed. He likely had a few recruiters take one look at him and walk away.

Yes because a guy who didnt play a single offensive down is the biggest loss....

Losing someone who has the ability to be a top WR is a bigger loss than losing a 6th string RB. You might not have read my whole post though, since you know, I said we can't really miss him since he never was able to play so we don't know what we are missing anyways. All the other guys, yeah we aren't missing anything.

If Jennert had the ability to be a top WR then what was holding Jennert back from cracking the top 7? Mattison had ability as well. But it did not translate into being a good enough player to earn PT. Caspers just didn't seem to find a spot to crack the 2 deeps in any way and he was going to be a senior.

Never overly impressed with Anthony Young. IMO, he got burned a lot. Lampkin was small but had good speed. Don't fault him for wanting to concentrate on track.

Hollis is the biggest loss IMO. Evidently he was not doing what he was told to do. And had violated team rules on more than one occasion. Too bad. Waste of time. Waste of talent. Standard and Nealy will be more than happy to take that Playing Time, I would bet.
