A lot of tickets go to the sponsors. Valero (we do business with) is giving me and another employee each 2 tickets and 2 nights at the Marriot as well as many other perks for those couple days. I'm guessing they are doing the same with thousands of others as well.

Haven't been to Texas since 2007 or so. Has it always been that way?

Since at least 2001. I went on spring break and we were told you could drink as passengers from Iowans but once we got to Texas we asked at the first few convenience stores and they assured us that was not the case...and looked at us like we were stupid for even asking.

Well then we broke some rules my last couple trips to Texas...

A social media friend of mine was drinking while his friend was driving in Texas last spring.

I spent 2 years stationed in Texas 84-85-ish and they changed the blue laws and THINK changed the open-container law. It used to be a driver could drink so long as he wasn't drunk.

Mississippi still allows the driver to drink as long as they are under the limit.

What the hell does that mean? Define impede... People do not have a right to travel 80 mph in the left lane as that is illegal. If traffic going 70 needs to pass they still must use the left lane for some time.

WTF, it's pretty self explanatory. I suppose you're one of those people that I'm road raging behind because you won't get out of the damn left lane.

So @isuno1fan , you can look at this map of tickets available & still believe ISU fans will only account for a third of the stadium?

This map of tickets available is very telling.

If you divide the lower level into 8 roughly equal sections (4 corners, 2 sidelines, 2 endzones) of 4k seats each (32k total) and the upper level into 4 equal sections (2 sidelines, 2 endzones, no corners) of 10k seats each (40k total), you cover the 72k capacity of the Alamo Bowl.

Here is how I see the tickets being distributed:

ISU lower corner. 4000. All purchased through ISU Ticket Office.
ISU lower sideline. 3000. Half purchased through ISU Ticket Office, half from UTSA fans.
ISU lower Big 12 EZ. 4000. Half purchased through ISU Ticket Office, half third parties.
ISU lower PAC 12 EZ. 1000. All purchased from third parties (probably vendors).
ISU upper sideline. 8000. 6000 purchased through ISU Ticket Office.
ISU upper endzone. 0.

WSU lower corner. 2500. Most purchased by WSU Ticket Office.
WSU lower sideline. 2500. Most purchased by WSU Ticket Office.
WSU lower PAC 12 EZ. 500. All purchased from third parties (vendors).
WSU lower Big 12 EZ. 0.
WSU upper sideline. 0. These are the 6000 tickets that the PAC 12 is eating.
WSU upper endzone. 0.

This accounts for the 13.5k sold by the ISU Ticket Office and 20k total for ISU (which is probably a very low estimate) and 4.7k by the WSU Ticket Office and 5.5k total for WSU.

I'm a real engineer and no offense taken.
I was also the Chief Structural Engineer of the Alamodome so if you are going to the game, rest assured there is adequate levels of safety factor on the 378 ft. long x 50 ft. deep trusses over your head. And lots of rebar in the four vertical 300 ft. tall masts:

I'm guessing 32,000 Cyclones, 7,000 WSU, and who knows about the rest. So long as I don't have to see that "One Guy" who wears a hok shirt.
