I travel a lot for my job. I follow all of the Cyclone podcasts. Does anybody follow any other really good podcasts? Leadership? History (especially WWII)? Business? Thanks in advance.

If you're a history nerd like me, Dan Carlin's hardcore history is a must.
http://www.dancarlin.com/hardcore-history-series/

If you're into really interesting people from all walks of life just shooting the **** for 3 hours, definitely check out Joe Rogan podcast. Some fascinating stuff on people that you never knew about.

If you love a thriller/good story (real too), I highly recommend Locked up Abroad.

If you love good story telling/mystery, I recommend Serial.

Pardon my take- Barstool sports

Monday and Thursday morning podcasts by Bill Burr can be good too, sometimes he rambles a bit too much, but he's a comedian so.. yeah.

The moonlight graham show. Iowans. Sports. Good interviews.

Dan Carlins show is good, but his podcasts are long and he takes a long time to wrap up an idea.

I don't miss many joe rogan podcasts. He is the best at what he does.

I've been liking jim norton and sam roberts podcast. Its just interviews off their sirius radio show but with the right interviewee it can really get me laughing. Need to have a somewhat twisted sense of humor.

He is not an expert on really anything outside of MMA and Comedy, but he know enough about things to be able to ask intelligent questions with experts. Some of my favorite interviews have been Neil Degrasse Tyson, Ben Shapiro, Dan Carlin, Jay Leno, Megan Roper (granddaughter of Westboro Baptist Church's Fred Phelps), Leah Remini, Louis Theroux, and tons of comedians.

I have a lot of fundamental disagreements with Joe, but still really enjoy his work.

I really enjoyed a lot of the podcasts at Whistlestop. http://www.slate.com/articles/podcasts/whistlestop.html

This show takes an historic look at past presidential races/elections, and the stories behind the scenes...which eventually came to light. For whatever reason, I've been most fascinated with the episodes involving the 60's, 70's, and 80's presidential elections.

Only a Game by Bill Littlefield.

He grabs unique sports stories that you'll never hear anywhere else and does a great job with them. Also touches on current events in sports. I highly recommend it.

Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History is ok, but I was disappointed in it. I liked his books so much, I may have been expecting more from his podcast. Especially since he takes about a year to put out 7 episodes.

Podcasts I listen to and enjoy:

Pardon My Take- Never miss an episode. A comedic sports podcast by Barstool sports. I could try to explain it but you'll kindof just have to listen to a couple episodes to understand.
Tim Ferris show- Tim is a self experimenter and best selling author. He has on people whom are the best in their field and tries to deconstruct the things they do that make them successful at their craft, and draws similarities across fields. "In this show, he deconstructs world-class performers from eclectic areas (investing, chess, pro sports, etc.), digging deep to find the tools, tactics, and tricks that listeners can use."
Joe Rogan Experience- I will echo what others on here have said. I do sometimes get annoyed by some of Joe's "bro science"
Serial- echo what others have said. It sucked me right in and I couldn't get anything done until I completed the series.

I've listened to a few others, but the above are the ones I never really miss an episode of. Revisionist History by malcom gladwell and Jocko Podcast by Jocko Willink are both good.

I enjoy Revisionist History as well.

If you like true crime stories, check out "Sworn". It delves into deep details of high profile murders and talks with those who were involved in all sides. They cover one story over three episodes.

"Lore" is a decent one as well. He covers urban legend/myth/folklore stories from around the US and world. I've found it to be pretty entertaining.

If you're into politics and left-leaning, check out Pod Save America. Its 3 ex-Obama staffers covering the politics of the day. It's informative and can be pretty funny as well. They've gotten some pretty high profile interviews too. However, they are left leaning and make no bones about it. I listen to get the left side of my balanced arguments.

Masters in Business with Bloomberg columnist Barry Ritholtz - Interviews with a variety of people from business to finance to economics. First 1/2 is from the Bloomberg Radio interview. Second half is podcast only. Many times a more interesting, far-ranging discussion.

More Perfect - From the people that do Radio Lab (which is also a good podcast). It's about the judicial system.
