sorry, but we might want to wait until the year plays out. midseason awards are kind of silly. remember when seneca was leading the midseason heisman race and we were ranked 8th?

we all know how that ended.

The man just won a game that his 5 predecessors couldn't.

I think he should be nominated for sainthood, let alone COY.

PR is at #13 at 2362 votes.
Chiz is at #10 and 3247
More importantly, Kirk "Farrethead" Ferentz at Iowa is at #12 with 2385 votes...We can at least catch KF.

Agree because this will validate our coaching staff and also change the outcome of how Chiz left and how badly Iowa beat us earlier this year.

Not sure if I agree with your reasoning.
My reasoning is below:
Beat Chiz because he's someone who deserves that kind of treatment.
Beat Ferentz well..because he's a Hawkeye...what other reason do you need?

This is one poll that I wouldn't mind losing for a very selfish reason. I see nothing to be gained by the rest of the nation realizing how fantastic of a job that Paul Rhoads and his staff are doing. I doubt that PR is going anywhere, but I'd rather keep him under the radar and just keep pulling off surprising wins.

I'm with you, but more to protect against poaching our coordinators.

In all honesty though, I think Kirk or Kelly deserves this award. Some of those coaches on there really do not have any business being there. Paul Rhoads definitely does, but he should win Big 12 COY though for sure.

I found this link in my Facebook newsfeed courtesy of ISU Athletics.
College Football | Coach of the Year | Presented by Liberty Mutual
As we are Iowa State "Really Really Good at Online Polls" University and we have one heck of a Coach in Paul Rhoads, I feel that we owe it to him to win this poll.
you do realize that fan voting only accounts for 20% of the total vote in this thing right. 55% is from college football hall of fame and 25% is from national media.
