I love songs I can sing along with, and the Mamas & the Papas have a lot of great tunes. But this song has driven me crazy for over 50 years. To this day, I STILL come in too soon after the pause. I don't think that's going to change now.

This thread reminds me of a progressive rock radio station in Des Moines during the late 60's and very early 70's. When they announced or printed their disc jockey schedule, they would say they would be playing sound tracks from the silent movies from midnight to six am but they actually went off-air.

I was driving from eastern Iowa to Denver on Sunday, and a great way to pass the time is to put on a MMJ show. Happy to say they got us from Ogallala to Denver.
Not time to pull out exact time yet but heard this on the radio. Pause near the end.
They have plenty of songs that I really don't even like but when they get done playing them live, it was usually a crazy good experience.
This one came up on my playlist. Working and heard the pauses so I had to stop and come over here. Priorities.
