Think the committee would game Alabama and Clemson out of a first-round match-up? They might like the story line of them meeting in the championship again.

I don't doubt that at all.

Story line, ratings, $$$

Win the next two and we should be in the final top 25, which would really be a nice milestone for the program.

I personally put Iowa State at 25 this week.

I still think with 4 losses, (3 to teams that are/have been ranked) they deserve it. 2 of the best wins out there compared to other teams I considered at #25.

I told my dad that Auburn was specifically placed in the first poll, and then last night, told him again that I expected them to be moved up dramatically. Whatever happens, I expect an argument to be made for two SEC teams in the final four.

I can definitely see that coming.

Auburn could be in with a win over Bama and in the SEC championship game.

Georgia is probably in with a win in the SEC championship game.

Alabama might even still make it at 11-1 with their only loss being the Iron Bowl.

I can only imagine they still make it at 12-1 with a loss to Georgia in Atlanta.

Alabama winning out might knock the other two out, however. Alabama has one to give, the others do not. Clemson and Miami (FL) play an elimination game in a few weeks.

The other ones to stop them at that point would be Wisconsin and Oklahoma, assuming Oklahoma does not lose again and Wisconsin can down Ohio State in the CC game.

I could easily see this being Bama, +1 SEC, OU, and The U / Clemson in the end.

Like I've noted in other threads... I am a firm believer in the committee setting it up that way. I also believe its because ESPN owns the rights to the Playoff and owns the SEC network.. I just think somethings up! ;)

But by putting Auburn where they did initially, is essentially a win/win for the SEC.

There is no way the SEC gets two teams this year... A complete farce if that happens. It also limits ESPN's audience so much that I can't fathom that they would support such a move.
