Browns released Joe Haden. He's been a pretty good CB for them. Had a little bit of an off year, last year, but he's very talented. Only 28 years old. He'll get scooped up in no time.

Yeah. Sounds like the Chiefs and Saints are the early frontrunners. I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts jumped into the mix too, with Vontae Davis out for the foreseeable future.

Hot take alert. Even without the protest stuff, there isn't a team in the league that would take Kaepernick over Stafford. Kaep should certainly have a spot in the league, but the only time he's ever been successful as a starter was when he was surrounded by great coaching and a really talented team where he didn't have to singlehandedly win games. Stafford has been tasked with carrying some bad teams during his time in Detroit.

I understand the Browns wanting to free up the salary, but you'd think they could have gotten something for him. Even a late round pick. He's a legitimate starting cornerback in the league. Not the best guy out there, but no slouch either. His contract is medium-high, but not outrageous for the position.

He was the seventh highest paid corner in the league and he wasn't grading out anywhere close to that. No doubt he'll draw interest now without the big price tag, but 11 mil is too much for a guy who just hasn't played that well recently. Good for him. He'll make a little less but he might get to play on a winning team for a change.

The league has skewed heavily toward offense for quite awhile now, which makes QB play that much more important. It would be difficult for a team like the 2000 Ravens to win a Super Bowl - they went five weeks without scoring an offensive touchdown. So yeah, guys like Cousins will be overvalued, but obviously that's how the league wants it. And while Stafford hasn't won a championship, he certainly gives you a much better chance of winning one than, say, Brian Hoyer.

And in response to the Vikings, well.......they have a championship caliber defense, but.....

The Browns are trying the "Moneyball" approach. Who knows if it will work?

The Bills and Jets are doing the same thing. Jets aren't acquiring as many picks, but they have a ton of cap space next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Jacksonville makes some moves before the trade deadline.

Seahawks trade Jermaine Kearse and a 2nd round pick to Jets for Sheldon Richardson

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...maine-kearse-new-york-jets-sheldon-richardson

Richardson can be a big time player, but he does/says some bonehead stuff. this could be a big get for Seattle's defense. A 2nd round pick is a lot to give up, though.

Especially with Richardson due to hit unrestricted free agency in 2018. They might have just given up a second rounder for a one year rental. Win-now move for the Seahawks. Maybe they're breaking up the band after this season.

Broncos cut TJ Ward and pending a physical they are bringing back Brock O. at the league minimum. He's not even worth that much.
