Lol, slow down. This game showed our potential. The TCU game did as well. I fully expect some fantastic moments and some complete eggs. No expectations beyond that and we’ll see where it goes.
It's not crazy to be talking NCAA. We won the Big 12 tournament 3 times in 4 years. All you have to do is get hot right at the end of the season (like we did with those Big 12 championship years) and we very well could contend for the Big 12 tournament again. Last week this was crazy talk but this win today shows this team can play with the top of the conference (not to mention beat the crap out of them). With Hilton South in action and the potential of this team, we very well could string 3 wins in the Big 12 tournament for an automatic NCAA tournament bid.

I love your enthusiasm, but I don't think this team has been consistent enough to put together the kind of run needed to make the dance. Just look at the last 4 days.

I love how they competed today as opposed to the display we saw Wednesday. Of course, we matched up much better with TT than TCU. But we were giving extra hustle to get in front of drivers that had already beat us off the dribble. We were rotating and helping teammates. We contested three-pointers. Complete 180 from Wednesday.

Talley gives us another tool, which is nice at this point in the season. He's active on both ends and has Big 12 athleticism.

I like how we've been feeding the post. It's not always pretty, but Lard gets the job done and teams have to account for him. We're not a great passing team, but his presence should help the guards.

Young was a great role player today. He was active on the boards and his perimeter defense was better. I'd really like to see him hit one of those threes, but he should probably lay off.

I wish Babb could get his three-point stroke back. He's lost confidence in his shot.

Jackson fulfilled his role today. He hit some big threes and played decent defense.

Wigginton is fun to watch when he gets it going. I really like his defensive intensity lately. He's holding his own against some of the Big 12's best.

Texas Tech either really misses Smith or they are overrated. I wasn't impressed with their athleticism outside of the guy that threw down the 360.

Either way, that was the best win of the season. Hopefully they are ready Monday.

How much I want the UT and OSU games back now.. I can't imagine how much the team wishes they had those games back as well. If they continue to play like they did today, we'll make the NIT with a shot at the Big Dance.

We need to play .500 the rest of the way to have a bubble chance...the tough thing is we're already soooooo close to having played .500.

I would love for Talley to become the clear 6th man on the team. If he can play like that, him subbing for a guard or one of the bigs totally changes the look of the team and allows us to match up well to most lineups.

By my count, we have had at least one win over a top ten team for the past five seasons.

If we get up to 17 or 18 wins with one more big time upset we're going to the NIT

I think at 18 wins our RPI would be around 40-45. Could be NIT but just as good a chance at NCAA.

There's only a 1-2 game window where we're above .500 but not in NCAA tournament with the RPI strength of this conference. Finishing above .500 will not be easy.

This team is SO close IMO. They can beat nearly anyone when they play like they did today. Wigginton and Lard are the real deal.

I think Wigg and Lard are in the discussion for best B12 freshmen after Young. They're at the top of the list for B12 freshman who are likely back next year.

That was probably one of the best defensive performances from Iowa State in recent years that I can remember.

Talley really helped. There were times with he and Babb that it was visually impressive the length we were putting against them on the perimeter. Wigg is still learning but he'll get there.

We were the longer and more physical team. That rarely happened even in the 6 year run we just had.

We'll have to win the Big 12 tournament to make the NCAAs. I could see that happening, though. If this team can put everything together they can be as good as any team in the conference.
