Maybe not solely, but a lot of it. Keyshon and Tamin are what made the defense go.Sole reason? Uh, no. They gave up 91 points tonight. That is not solely on injuries.

I think it's OK now, in some states. No problem there. I golf. I fish. I game. I didn't post that to have it come off like I don't touch grass, cuz I def do, lol.
Just always been a huge sports fan and it sucks how packed Sep-Mar is and then April-August is well, not so much.
Well, I hear you there, and didn't mean that I have any advantage on anyone here, either. LOLAll the auto-tune in the world couldn't save this voice, lol.
I don't really know what two things can be true in regards to my comment, but I don't think there was any coaching around ISU's performance tonight. ISU just played like **** and Ole Miss had one of their best shooting games of the season. Sorry, but I'm not going to lay this one at the feet of Beards superior coaching ability. Both can be true. We got outcoached badly tonight, that's true. Doesn't mean tj is bad, Beard has gotten outcoached many times.
No hate for Gilbert from me. He was one of our best, if not best player, when clicking and healthy.Your best defender who is a pest is playing at less than optimal and your 2nd best defender who is an absolute pest was absent. I wouldn't be surprised if Gilbert is worth 8-10 points defensively and Lipsey worth another 6-8 over the performances we got.
Likewise Gilbert is worth points over Kelderman offensively if for no other reason than being able to drive and kick to shooters. Kelderman effectively makes it 4 on 5 on both ends.
Love him or hate him, Gilbert was a HUGE loss.
Auburn's one of the 2 best teams in the country. On a neutral court we almost beat them. Split hairs about which team showed up for whatever amount of minutes, yada, yada, yada. 4 Big XII teams are in the Sweet 16. We beat 2 of them (AZ, Tech) and lost the other ones (BYU, UH, AZ) in close games with guys out/playing injured in those losses. And obviously Auburn's also in the Sweet 16.As a fanbase we have to stop using “we had a twenty point second half lead over Auburn” as an example of why we shouldn’t be frustrated about the season. That team showed up for 23 minutes in Maui, and promptly blew that game due to our inability to get stops against above average offenses and our inability to do anything consistently in the half court against literally anyone with a heartbeat.
And yes, we had some “solid wins” we have always had those solid wins with TJ. Everyone expected to make the jump and get the “we belong in the final four” wins and that never happened, we got some moral victories against good teams instead which are also known as losses. I know injuries play a part but good lord. Line our 8 up with Ole Miss’ top 8 and there’s absolutely no reason we should’ve be down 26, no matter how bad we shot from the floor for a stretch.
And Tamin with a bad groin struggled to get backAnd worse offense means less time to set up defense.
Poophead fits. Not enough asterisks for goddam stupid so what is it?

The St John’s teams and the teams that do get upset or in our case ran out of a gym in the second round all have the same thing in common, they have a massive flaw. St John’s had struggled all year shooting with any consistency and that came up to bite them. Our massive flaw is that we can’t score in a half court against tournament level teams unless cujo bailed us out and this years team really struggled to defend/force turnovers compared to the other teams. All I’ve been saying is it has to be addressed this off-season because I think last years team had an identity, they were going to play like Houston. This years team seemed to back off that, but still for the most part had about the same gameplan in the half court which is why I think they hit so many issues even when healthy.Auburn's one of the 2 best teams in the country. On a neutral court we almost beat them. Split hairs about which team showed up for whatever amount of minutes, yada, yada, yada. 4 Big XII teams are in the Sweet 16. You're right, we shouldn't be down 26 vs Ole Miss, but St. John's shouldn't shoot 28% and lose as a 2 seed to a 10 seed. 16, 15 & 14 seeds should never beat 1, 2, & 3 seeds. Teams have bad games in the Tourney, often times inexplicably. And if you do, you'll go home. I still think overall, there are plenty of positives to take away from this season.
He was salvageable.Curtis Jones was a great f-king Cyclone. Period.
If only we could see it.Good idea. I just started an OnlyFans, all proceeds go to WeWill

This season occurred during a tough and trying time in my life and when I feel like passing on the gameday duties to others the support you and others not mentioned bring to every gameday thread gives me gusto to continue on. Luckily FB season begins early so offseason will be somewhat shorter.
Silly...he ran the "make the shot" plays while ISU kept calling the "miss your open shot" play.I don't really know what two things can be true in regards to my comment, but I don't think there was any coaching around ISU's performance tonight. It's more than that clearly. Nothing was good tonight, not one persons fault. We were beaten in every phase of the game handily.Silly...he ran the "make the shot" plays while ISU kept calling the "miss your open shot" play.
