Why does this game start so late?
I (and many others) ask that question each year.

It has been in this general tip-time slot for quite a while, so I assume the network believes it works. I'm sure I notice it more since I'm on ET, it's a bit of a sweet spot for Central and also accommodates Pacific viewers...

I still think all that could be accomplished with an 8:35 ET tip.

Remembering when U Conn undressed us and had their way. Several on here mentioned how this team could win it all. Nice call.

Another fascinating tidbit!

At some point (this season or previously) say what is the most-common final score in any round in tournament history? I'm guessing that's something searchable on your blog, but I haven't delved into that, checking here first.
Most common score all-time: 75-72 and 69-67 (both have happened 15 times)
Round of 64: 61-57, 70-69 and 64-61 (7 times each)
Round of 32: 69-67 (6 times)
Sweet 16: 73-71, 74-69, 79-71, 69-67 (5 times each)
Elite 8: 80-68 (4 times)
National Semifinals: 10 different scores twice (95-79, 67-60, 73-58, 95-84, 64-58, 77-69, 70-65, 81-78, 76-74, 60-52)
National Championship: 5 different scores twice (72-69, 77-74, 67-59, 84-75, 72-65)

The Anti-Champ of the tournament is the team that loses the first round game and then the team they lost to loses the next round and so on until the Championship Game.

The two teams left with a chance to be the Anti-Champ are:

If UConn wins: Vermont lost to Marquette lost to Michigan State lost to K-State lost to FAU lost to San Diego State
If SDSU wins: Iowa State lost to Pitt lost to Xavier lost to Texas lost to Miami lost to UConn

We have never had an anti-championship in tournament history.
