Well now we don't have to worry about Purdy being drafted after this season. His pre-season stock just went way down.

And yet again, this is why you schedule a cupcake opponent not an actual good team.
I think the 'we are Iowa State thing' is true. Add in too much hype vs. talent and it's only worse.
And that's just what we gave up special teams alone. Here's my idea for changes:
1.) All KO's are sent out the endzone. No returns. If not possible, kick straight in the air to eliminate returns.
2.) All punts straight in the air, no return
3.) any KO we receive inside the 25 is fair caught, taken @ 25.
Just take the skill and scheme out of that aspect of the game entirely.
We did have a cupcake but COVID cancelled it plus we should win this game very time.
Overreacting maybe....but media and others saying this is Campbell's best team are idiots. New OL, new Wrs, and continued bad tackling and special teams.
well that's embarrassing. that's not the way to start the season. hopefully one day I can hang that nut cup away once and for all. i'm beyond disappointed right now.

Unfortunately, Campbell has shown he is totally unwilling to make that decision. It was brutally clear at the end of last season it needed to be done.
And it won't get any better until he does. We won't take the next step until we get a real P5 offensive coordinator.
