We almost never run designed quick throws to the middle of the field. Basically it's dink and dunk screens, or having all of the wide receivers running 15-30 yards down field. Sadly we don't block well enough for them to complete the routes and when Purdy needs to be throwing the ball there is literally nobody to throw to.
It has boggled my mind how infrequently ISU runs plays designed to get our qb in rhythm and the ball out of his hands quickly that are upfield. It's either BS screens, outs on the sideline, or long developing plays. You need to help your QB, not help to set him up to fail.
