One of the last of the Rhoads era.
I think #40 is Hez Jackson's son if I'm not mistaken.
We should try to score 72 more often.
I'm all for trying to win in the margins against OU or Texas, but damn it was refreshing to take a lesser opponent out behind the woodshed. Also fun to see some of the backups showcase the skills. We should do this again sometime soon.
prohm would have scored more than 72...concerned.
Sorry. Link to Milton TD video is actually this one - https://www.foxsports.com/college-football/video/1606853187877
And I edited the orginal post.
Baylor game would be nice
45 points in the second half. In my time as an ISU fan (40-ish years), I don't think that has occurred.
Baylor game has been the one I’ve been most worried about since the preseason.
And as it turned out we pretty much did!
hopefully for the rest of the season..
Just got to watch the game delayed.
Obviously pleased with the results.
One question, why haven't we tried the "Don't use the punter" approach before?
Hope we run it again this year!
Is next week too soon?
Can't think of a better time myself.
Sean Shaw and Chris Carter have something in common
The promising thing is that this was a team who’s play style is similar to what we’ll see in conference play (obviously no where near the same talent level) so it was good seeing what we can do against a team that plays the way our team has been built to play against.
We’ve gotta get that quarterback scramble figured out on defense, though, or teams like Baylor and Oklahoma are just going to eat us alive.
Middle of the defense on 3rd down and the secondary are going to need to step up.
Also straight up running game is going to need to be reliable.
in the box score, TEAM is listed as throwing a pass and TEAM had a rushing attempt, I'm not sure I've ever seen that before?
That was the most baffling win of last year, the guy carved us up and we still won.
