Winner. End Thread. My goal for the weekend was to find out what IUPUI stood for .......without googling it. The newspapers all kept saying IUPUI. It was as if no one but JM4CY and Jamie Pollard actually knew the answer.

I was stuck on "Interior Upper Peninsula" for the majority of Sunday. Indiana University - Purdue University, Indianapolis. That blows my mind-- it makes so much more sense than Interior Upper Peninsula.

Blum tweeted that he was taking a break for some reason (maybe personal matters?). Definitely hope everything is well with him, and that he gets back soon. He's fantastic.

CW explained on one of the podcasts that between his day job and having one-year old twin boys at home it was just too much. Which sucks -- enjoyed his commentary before, during, and after games -- but these are understandable things for a new father trying to find the time for it all.

Just going in with the mindset that I had last year, which is excited to get to know the new players and how all their roles shake out. I see a lot of potential here, but also a lot of new faces trying to blend together.

Agreed - along with the fact that I'm pretty sure this team is going to work their butt off and play hard every minute of every game, which is really all we can ask.

Interesting to see how tonight goes. IUPUI was really well respected in the midwest recruiting circles when Ron Hunter was running the program, but they seem to have really fallen off in the last 10 years, as I haven't heard a peep out of them in any respects. Looking into their programs history a bit and I can't see a season over .500 in the last 11 years. Should be a game we can win comfortably, but need to prove it and get some good momentum going to start the season. Real tests coming up quick.

I liked him on games, too. But more importantly, twin mini-ScottyCs? Can you imagine two Thug Life snipers raining 3s and slitting throats on the 2040 ISU MBB roster?

The best part is that Purdue left the partnership and focused all their efforts on the Fort Wayne campus and that school went from Indiana-Purdue Ft Wayne (IPFW) to just Purdue-Ft Wayne.

IUPUI will change their name to Indiana University-Indianapolis in July 2024 but because there's already a University of Indianapolis (UIndy) they're going to try to brand themselves as IUI.

Just a mess.

I think it was due to his very young twins and family needs with them. Blum isn't doing the broadcast either due to constraints of his new job.

Think it's lost on people how much we would've loved last years team even if it didn't produce undefeated non-con and sweet 16.

I would say crazy hustle/effort plays > corner 3's for the main fuel that makes Hilton magic run.

The offensive bursts and big shots are the exclamation points, but the diving on the floor are what gets the engine turned over.

You have to hope that adding Osun, Ward and King with the supposedly improved Jones will give us a big upgrade over last year's front court
Jones was actually playing well towards the end of the year, and I love his hustle. His free throws though make me want to punch a baby. I shoot better free throws in my driveway with a beer in one hand and 10 mph wind

Hey after the good start by the wrestling program, Rulzzz any chance you could start a thread on meet days?
