If you defend Campbell after the last few years and especially after today you deserve what you get. I’m done with Iowa State football. You all can enjoy being miserable for four months a year.
100%Honestly, great effort. Young team. Defense is as good as ever. Offense improved over the course of the game. Glad they got the touchdown, felt like a huge relief to finally break through. If they continue to improve I think they'll make a bowl game for sure.
I thought it was a properly officiated game. There were a call here and there that were questionable, but that happens every game. The teams decided the outcome themselves. Iowa State made too many mistakes, and Iowa took advantage of the mistakes. The implication that the fix was in with the refs.
As someone pointed out there was a penalty that ISU declined.
Broken record every year with this game. Matt preaches winning in the margines but he hasn’t shown that he is coaching to win in the margins. It’s not just this game, it’s for every game where they have margin issues. We stepped on our own dic*s. The pick six and two big plays. Felt worse than it was…

C’mon… finish that 6 pack!!!Post game, 5-beers-in thoughts.
1- I like that we fought back and didn't quit
2- I don't want to blame the play calling, but we call plays like we are a dominant force, which we are not. Can we get some play action on first down? Or play action on 3rd and 1 to a TE? Maybe a reverse to JJ Moses every now and then? We didn't do anything unpredictable on offense
3- I miss Steve Loney
4- We lost despite a solid defensive effort, breaking even on the turnover battle, and adequate special teams ( save for the lineman who got blown up on the blocked FG). I would have signed up for all those things before the game.
5- Not all turnovers are created equal.
6- The slow as molasses, 10 minute drill didn't bug me nearly as much as the predictable run up the gut on 4th and 1 on the final drive
7- Why is Stanley not seeing the field much?
8- We need to get JJ Moses more involved ....
H
Sure he did. By the time I got back with our carry out and it was 20-13 I told wifey that Iowa deserved to lose with how our HC and OC were coaching. I would've been perfectly happy with ISU winning if it meant getting KF and BF closer to being out the door. But posting about the refs not calling enough penalties against Iowa is just weak sauce, refs had nothing to do with this one.Nobody implied that you dumb ass. Go find a hok board
Lmao the funny thing is that you all would think going 6-7 and losing the Insight Bowl would be a good season and a reason to celebrateAre you predicting another bowl season?
You have no ability to read a room. Go get ******.Sure he did. By the time I got back with our carry out and it was 20-13 I told wifey that Iowa deserved to lose with how our HC and OC were coaching. Yup. We stepped on our dicks plenty, but at the end of the day they deserved it more.Iowa was just better. Not much else to say.
Well, it wouldn't be our worst season...Lmao the funny thing is that you all would think going 6-7 and losing the Insight Bowl would be a good season and a reason to celebrate
We're not winning 10 games. How many of our drives started with a 2-yard loss on a run? At least a half dozen? Yes the OL needs work but it's mostly about BF being a horribly predictable playcaller. But I do agree our schedule is Jello pudding.I thought it was a properly officiated game. There were a call here and there that were questionable, but that happens every game. The teams decided the outcome themselves. Iowa State made too many mistakes, and Iowa took advantage of the mistakes.
Iowa “should” win 10+ games this year, not because the team is great, but because their schedule is terrible the rest of the way. Only one difficult game remaining for Iowa. They’ll get exposed in the conference title game
For a team this young, especially at the skilled positions, yes, a 6-7 season would be a success.Lmao the funny thing is that you all would think going 6-7 and losing the Insight Bowl would be a good season and a reason to celebrate
