This team has looked soft and mentally weak most of the season. It isn't changing at this point. It is who they are.
This is such a dumb post. Mentally weak and soft teams don't win road games vs teams like TTU and KSU. Again 4-4 on the road in a very deep conference is not the sign of a weak team. Terrible game today, and concerning moving forward, but attacking the mental toughness of what will probably be the best road team we've had in almost 20 years is pretty laughable.

Yeah it's tricky this year with the unevenness of the group (suspensions, SY injury) but if nothing else it would give a different look and for other teams to prep for.

They're able to press a bit on the perimeter and ISU can't adjust.

Prohm's use of his bigs is really tough to figure. I thought once we got down big today we might actually go 2 posts. What did we have to lose? But, nope. I just can't believe he refuses to even try it.

@jsb figured it out in one of her posts, you can do the same.
I asked you a question about what you posted.
You then didnt answer and brought up TCU as well. @jsb response has nothing to do with me refuting what you're saying.

You said Texas is an NIT team. I'll make a charity bet with you that they aren't.
What's your answer, yes or no?

TCU is an NIT team. Texas is a tourney team. Texas had some really big wins in the non conference. Also, that loss to Radford isn’t that bad anymore.

We are 5th now and might still finish 6th. Don’t see how it’s crazy to fear 9th or 10th if we lose Shayok, Babb, Wigginton, Talen, and Lard. That’s a whole lot of talent. Hope Lard stays out of trouble and hope Wigginton is happy here. Talen could still have a good combine and could definitely impress draft evaluators.
Valid point. Next year should be a decent step back if we lose 3 to 5 rotation guys.

On the flip side, this year’s disappointment can mean the fallback next year won’t be as much as it should be. Talented players that execute like we did today can be replaced. Conditt has the potential to be more than a suitable replacement for Lard. He should have been getting a few consistent minutes, but there’s still games left to get him better. Wigginton is basically just a 3P shooter right now. I think we can get that from Jackson or Nixon. THT can be a mismatch, but often is just an ineffective freshman.

Texas would have had 14 losses with 2 more guaranteed losses left before the tournament. How many more losses can a team possibly absorb and get in? At some point I dont care who you beat or what your computer rankings say, you should be punished for losing basketball games.

They have a couple more losses than I thought overall honestly. It could be tough for them to get in.

Maybe you idiots should just stay away from dogging the players. Saying someone sucks, is wrong and gets you disqualified as a fan. Critique all you want, the guys did not play well, but stop disparaging the young men that do nothing but try to make you proud. They don't play bad on purpose. You need to understand the line, and not cross it or go find a team that doesn't lose often.

This is my team, those are my boys and if you're going to talk bad about any of them, you're going to hear from me and the rest of the real fans. God help your family or children with the way some of you deal with adversity.

I've never made a disparaging comment about a player. That was the only post I made today. I suggest you run this back

TCU and Texas aren’t just awful teams. You act like they are Rutgers or cal.

TCU isn’t good. 3-7 in the last 10 with two wins against us and a last second winner at home against Oklahoma State.

No, fans like you suck. Leave and never come back. It sounds like that would be best for everyone.

Sorry, you're stuck with me. Feel free to hit ignore if you don't want to see my posts. I'll continue to complain when I feel like complaining when things are going poorly, since this is the only community I have who gives a **** how ISU athletics fare.
