Because he is a KF clone. He's playing averages and hoping to minimize mistakes, cause more turnovers than ISU commits, and win time of possession.

It will work for a while, until you opponents understand what you are trying. At that point, if you don't have athletes, scheme, and execution, you lose if outmatched.

Love how this coaching staff was settling for a long FG attempt on the road with an average kicker at best. Great strategy there.

There are seems to step up and out of the pocket. But he stays in the pocket and holds the ball for four seconds. The OL has struggled but HD holds on to the ball and sits in the pocket for way to long when there are opportunities to get out.
