actually reading some more about why they don't race in the rain - turns out the Cup cars are just too heavy - they'd destroy any tire soft enough to provide both grip and tread in about 5 laps. Plus at a track like this they'd have to slow down so much it'd be like watching a walking marathon. Definitely an option at the road courses though since speeds are lower anyway.

looks like coverage will resume 7:00 CST on Fox and the Race will start at 7:30 CST approx

looks like they should have a big enough window to get it in (full distance) tonight too

hate to be that guy, but how are we defining greatest drivers? Only Driving Career?

There were a lot of moon shiners like Junior Johnson that had shorter careers in NASCAR as drivers, but had a HUGE influence on the sport (mainly as an owner with all the innovation). Then there are guys like Jack Ingram that won 317 races in all NASCAR series but not a lot of those came in the top 2 series (Cup or Bucsh/ Nationwide), but the Iron Man Jack Ingram has to be one of the greatest.
